I am honored to be accepted into this thread, alongside yourself and Jennabenna. Your work especially has inspired me, and now I add your latest epic "Anal Warts" to the collection of confessional experience that speaks to something everywomyn has experienced.

Lately, in order to free myself from the patriarchal dynasty we have all been fed/cannot escape from, I have taken to writing in the Automatic Style...in that I do not think about what I shall write. I merely l;et it pour out. In that way, I feel I circumvent the river of (mental) thought which is so steeped in the man/woman/child triad.

      I also wanted to say

(but could not, as this site does not have editing abilities) (or else, which is also likely, that Right is only issued to the men)

is I am thinking that along with structure and thought, traditional spelling is something I may want to experiment with avoiding/dumping/releasing-back-into-the-wild. While our words in English aren't divided into the male & female forms they have in some other languages, we can't be sure without doing a great deal of research which English words in their original language do.

So, releasing the shackles of spelling might help to undercut/reverse the traditional/gender-specific origins of words.

It's just something I've been thinking about.

No I’m not on drugs. I keep my body pure, so that what I share is clean. The mind of the artist is their primary tool, and it should not get soggy or rusty. (I speak only for myself, of course, and lay down no laws or expectations for others who channel the artistic spirit.)

The most I’ll have is some sort of herbal elixir/liquorat a womyns’ festival, for cleansing or visioning, but that’s only once or twice a year.

Why are you in this sacred place? This is a place of feminine poetry, and shared vision. This is a fan site for the poet Tyeisha X.

I like the Poetry Slum thread. I don't understand these jungle rhythms, or why anyone would want to listen to them when we have beautiful hymns to the Lord such as "Nearer My God to Thee," but if this is how the negroes want to spend their time, it beats having them run loose on the streets stealing things and raping white women and playing basketball.

                  Draw Close!
a revelation received by Pandora's Box

                  Draw close, my sisters.
                  We shiver on unhallowed ground.

Like newborn kits, our eyes peek out
                  at shapes, sounds, the unknown.

                  Who is The Pastor Ezekiel?

And where is the warm fur of the mother?
                  (not in this place)

Where is the warm purr of her
                  brave, thumping heart?
                  (not in this place)

Where is her warm sweet milk,
                  connecting us,
                  strengthening us,
so we might grow like her
                  The Fearless Huntress
                  (and, yet, also,
the placid puss by the fire)

                  Not in this place…!

                  Draw close, my sisters
into our cloistered ball of fur.
                  Ears flat, tails under, all
                  tucked in, and away.

                  Lie still.

                  Mommie Cat will return

1.) I rise above and ignore your abuse (in equating me with a dumb beast)

2.) I arrived here via a link from a womyns' poetry site, honoring the work of that renowned poetess and visionary, Professor Tyeisha X.

What are you doing here? You and the man with a stick do not seem like the usual type who enjoy Womyn Words. (Though I am glad our message has reached you.)

In good conscience, you should stop trolling this poetry "slam" site and go back to wherever you came from. Or submit some poetry....(though it should be restricted to the feminine mode/style/world/theme.) (That is what Tyeisha's work is all about.)

I have come to the decision to not publish any more of my poetry here until Professor Tyeisha X weighs in.

I do not know that this is a safe place for us.

Our poems are our babies, and we must watch out for them.
