What a moving video -- and not at all schmaltzy. If there's one thing I can't stand, it's sugary, slimy schmaltz.
Seeing those pics of McCain as a young soldier in a hospital bed made me realize how wonderful it is that he is willing to pass his experiences on to other young men. Certainly those brave boys grievously wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan must appreciate Godly John's willingness to keep America at war forever.
As a great man once said,
"War is to man what maternity is to a woman. From a philosophical and doctrinal viewpoint, I do not believe in perpetual peace."
Praise God that George Bush chose to go to invade Iraq, and John McCain will keep the fires of war going!

Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread where people could suggest appropriate ways to pay tribute to John McCain. I'd think slicing the foreskins off 200 dead towelheads would be a pleasingly Biblical way to do so. (Or 2000, to allow for inflation.) You could go for gook foreskins to be even more appropriate, but it'd be a pretty fiddly job. I think he wears them to help keep his "face" on. It hides the terrors he suffered for all our sakes, all those years ago when he was kept prisoner by slant eyed fiends.
