Isn't that the total amount of the Bear-Stearns/Fannie Mae-mac bailout? Other than that, the economy is on an even keel. Who's worried?

I've just looked at those figures, if the debt is $500,000,000,000 and there are 300,000,000 citizens, that's $5000/3, which is only $1,666.66 each. I'm sure this is less than most of us tithe.

Proof again of the fiscal prudence of GWB.

Slavery is approved by God Himself - no True Christian could deny the benefits that it brought to the jigaboo and his multitude of descendants. Crime would be reduced, unemployment solved, the economy boosted, etc.

By reinstituting slavery, think of all the jobs that would be created right here in America.... You'd have to have Overseers, Auctioneers, Branders, Runaway Hunters, Veterinarians, Chattel Handlers, etc. Manicle and horsewhip manufacturers would have their best sales in decades!!

I tell you, the reinstitution of slavery and additional tax cuts for the wealthy would be a boon to the American economy!!

It's better than that! The $500 billion is only the annual deficit for 2008. The cumulative national debt is an inspiring $10 trillion. So the actual government debt is around $33,000 for every man, woman and child in the USA, and will continue to rise.

This is by far the highest per capita debt in the world, which just proves what a great nation the USA is. What other country could borrow so much and not collapse (yet)? Surely, God has granted the US government an unlimited line of credit, so that we may bomb bearded ragheads in the Middle East and send them back to Hell from where they came.
