The Demoncrats want to destroy your dreams and they want you to be poor forever!

Ocasio-Cortez* defends call for 70 percent tax on rich

The problem is more that she actually wants this bare-faced robbery. Does she not realize that being rich is God's way of telling you you are doing the "worshiping bit" right!
Does God want you to be rich - You betcha! Lu:10:7: And in the same house remain, eating and drinking such things as they give: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Go not from house to house.
And yet, here is this Mexican woman telling the US that she's going from house to house taking your "hire" from you! When she, and her fellow-travelers, steals 70 cents in the dollar from you and you are reduced to
(i) having to sell your paintings to keep your jet in the air,
(ii) dropping the wages of your staff
(iii) taking fewer trips to Europe or the Pacific Islands
(iv) having to sell your youngest sons second car,
what are you going to do?
A man has to live! A man has to provide! The only way such a millionaire would be able to survive is by putting up the price of his goods and services - gas at $6 a gallon, burgers $15 each, cornflakes $29.99 a box - and how will "the poor" survive then? I'll tell you - they won't! How will anyone suddenly stop being homeless or ill? They won't!(ii) dropping the wages of your staff
(iii) taking fewer trips to Europe or the Pacific Islands
(iv) having to sell your youngest sons second car,
what are you going to do?
And just how much will this raise in taxes? I shouldn't think there are more than a handful of people that this affects, so, I reckon $123.83 a year - not enough to pay for one day's ingredients for this witch's spells!

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez*, D-N.Y., stopping by “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday, defended her call for a 70 percent tax rate on the rich.
The Democratic socialist sensation emphasized that the highest tax rate wouldn’t be on all income but would affect the “10 millionth and one dollar” and beyond.
“So after you make $10 million in one year, your dollars after that start to get progressively taxed at a much higher rate. And really, what that is … at what level are we just living in excess?” she asked.
She added, “What kind of a society do we want to live in … do we want to have these folks with helipads in the same city, in the same society as people who are working 80-hour weeks and can’t feed their kids?”
She noted that under Republican President Dwight Eisenhower, there was a 90 percent tax rate on the wealthy.
“But I want to point out that. ‘She’s a socialist! She wants 70 percent tax rates,’ those are both accurate, right?” Colbert asked.
(Ocasio-Cortez first floated the 70 percent rate in a recent interview with “60 Minutes.”)
