Obama cites wrong Bible verse; further proof he is no Christian!

I just received this in my email a little bit ago from one of my church members! Very interesting stuff!

    Subject: Obama and John 3:16

Worth thinking about... The Lord has a way of revealing those of us who really know Him, and those that don't!!!

Think about it! Obama gave a big speech last week about how his faith is so "important" to him. In an attempt to convince the American people that we should consider him for president, he said his favorite Bible verse is John 16:3. Of course the speech writers meant John 3:16, but nobody in the Obama camp is familiar enough with scripture to catch the error. And do you know what John 16:3 really says? "And they will do this because they have not known the Father nor Me.

The Holy Spirit works in strange ways. Pass it on!

I'll bet he never has that problem with the Qur'an.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I believe that it would be wise to check sources and facts before posting information such as this.

This email has been going around for quite some time, and has been changed regularly to attribute the speech to several politicians as their popularity has risen or fallen. It first appeared in relation to George W. Bush, then was subsequently attributed to Kerry, Gore, and Obama, and possibly others.

If you will notice, the email does not cite a reference including date, time, location, what speech Obama was supposedly giving at the time, etc. That was my first clue when I received it via email that it may not be legitimate. A quick Google search substantiated that it is a hoax.

It is common in emails to say that "So-and-so said this" or "So-and-so said that," but typically there are no references to substantiate the claim. A basic middle-school English class teaches students that sources must be verified before being used.

As Christians, we certainly should display an educational level and the wisdom to do the same.

You liberals are sooooo predictable!! You NEVER believe ANY information from anonymous forwarded e-mails no matter HOW damning the information they contain. This is how liberals pull the wool over the eyes of an unsuspecting public, by casting doubt on relevant information from Godly conservative sources and promoting the lies and heresy of the Godless Liberal Media!!

You ought to be ashamed!! I suppose next you'll try to claim that there weren't secret WMD in Iraq that were moved to Syria in the runup to The Glorious War to Liberate Iraq from Tyranny, that Bill Clinton didn't kill Vince Foster in a homoerotic fit of rage, or that George W. Bush didn't land his own jet on the flight deck of the USS Abraham Lincoln.
