Alaska politics took a big step backwards when a women who talked mostly about fish beat a nationally known Republican. This woman Democrat seems to know nothing about the famous Sarah Palin or President Trump. She is going to Washington, not to legislate for prayer in schools, stopping abortions and lower taxes, but for "salmon management."

Trump beat Biden by 10% in 2020. Is it so cold in Alaska voter's brains freeze up? If Democrats have nothing to talk about but fish this country is in a world of hurt.

That woman's name seems awfully close to "Pelosi", if you ask me. Since it ends in a vowel, one might think that she is a Mary-worshiping Italian. Except that Italians are obsessed with pasta, not fish.

I did hear that she is from some "tribe" or other. Of course, NOT one of the tribes of Israel.

The DEMONcrats have figured out a new way to steal elections - it's called "Ranked Choice Voting". Two Republican candidates and who wins - a Democrat.

That's like voting for Jesus and having your second choice Satan as a "reform" candidate.

Alaska is socialist anyway, they pay oil money stipends to all of their citizens just for living there. Mr. Putin wants to reclaim all the lands formerly held by Russia and that of course does include Alaska. I would welcome the Russian Federation having a presence here in North America. Of couse, we'd be losing some Republican senators and electoral votes, so I think we can compromise and give him Hawaii as well.

It's so sad to see a politician elected because of detailed policy proposals. Knowing too much about the issues clouds the thinking of politicians, which leads to bad choices such as believing in a safety net for the impoverished. That's why we Republicans like to remain ignorant of the implications of our policies, rendering them much more palatable.

I agree it is sad. This Fish Candidate is all about policies for this and policies for that. She talks of nonsense like a "sustainable salmon" population. Where is her heart? When is she going to say something important? The problem in Alaska and in the rest of the U.S. is the same, sin. We need politicians ready to throw sinners in jail.

When God gave man every animal, except the unclean ones, to eat, He said nothing about sustainable fisheries management. Surely the Lord would have mentioned it had it been important. So we need not be concerned with all that scientific garbage about marine ecology. If the fisheries are depleted, it's part of God's plan and a sure sign of the coming Rapture. So I say, the more fish we harvest, the better!

God's depletion of the fisheries during The Flood, freshwater and saltwater fish being unable to survive in one another's environments, must have been almost total. Salmon, eels and perhaps sturgeon could survive but look at how many fish there are now! If so many species could be regenerated so quickly (for example the fishing industry was well and truly established in Galilee over two millennia ago Matthew 17:27 not to mention ancient Egypt as long ago again Numbers 11:5 and quite soon after the waters subsided) from total devastation to plague proportions, were we not eating them about as fast as they could breed.

If stocks are declining, sea mammals would be the cause. Perhaps the Alaskans should consider reduction of vermin like seals, penguins, piranhas, sea lions, walruses, sea eagles and so on?

Because those election-stealing heathens do not care.

Go ahead, take your own heathen self to Washington, D.C. and attend a press conference. Ask those heathens about Alaskan piranha and see if they answer you, a fellow heathen, with even the tiniest concern and respect.

They do not care about the average, hard-working, pining-for-the-return-of-Christian-Values American. Alaskan piranha could be prowling the streets in packs holding us a knife point to take our wallets and Bibles but would we be allowed to arm our own selves properly against this threat? I think not.

They are unfeeling, kneejerk Liberals who want us to die unsaved after repudiating Donald Trump and join them in Hell.
