North Korea says it has abandoned the truce that ended the Korean war, amid rising tension in the region.
In a statement to the North's official news agency, KCNA, the military warned that it no longer considered itself bound by the terms of a truce which ended the war between the two Koreas.
That agreement has preserved a tense peace for more than five decades.



North Korea's response has been unequivocal. "Any hostile act against our peaceful vessels, including search and seizure, will be considered an unpardonable infringement on our sovereignty," a spokesman for the North's army told KCNA.
"We will immediately respond with a powerful military strike."

Meanwhile, South Korean news reports say that steam has been seen coming from a plant at the North's main nuclear facility, a sign that it has made good on its threat to restart efforts to make weapons-grade plutonium.

i'v read jesus' words and they certainly don't tell you to nuke muslims. and that IS a fact. they tell you to be tolerent, to turn the other cheek. and i think he slipped in 'don't murder people' somewhere too. you think genocide is going to get you into heaven?

and you do know that north korea is prodominently buddhist and christian, don't you? does the good book tell you to nuke christians? i must have missed that bit.

and rational thinking? to believe that your religion is more significant, more righteous or purposeful than another is not just obnoxious but yes, irrational. and when i say rational i mean justifiable without the need for supernatural forces. 'because god tells us it's right' doesn't make it right. maybe we have different ideas of what rationality is?

Nuking N.Korea would have its repercussions. Russia and China wouldn't be too happy about, the last thing the U.S needs is a war.

China won't do anything. We are their favorite market and they wouldn't want to risk losing all those loans they have out to us.
