Get your crayons ready: Sarah Palin’s memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life” is coming November 17.
The 400-page book, originally planned for a spring release, will instead be available in time to stuff the stockings of eager youngsters. Little Timmy and Jane will while away the hours coloring images of rogue elephants, a strip mall labeled “Wasilla City Hall”, rape kits, and an image of Palin and McCain pummeling one another behind a closed door.
Palin promises that there will be more than pretty pictures in this book; in fact, it promises to be a demonstration of her talents in the dark art of Bitchcraft:
Be sure to check your local Christian bookseller for the “special Christian Faithful edition“.
It’s come to our attention that a music video was produced based upon the original working title, Going Vague: An American Idiot, a not-so-subtle reference to her domestic and foreign policy goals as articulated during the 2008 campaign. Unfortunately, it won’t be used in the advertising campaign due to the revised title. Shame to let it go to waste.
By the way, if you don’t like the current title, you’re not alone. Laura Nathan at True/Slant is seeking alternate titles. Libtree09 doesn’t offer a title, but investigates the current choice:

There have been so many things written and said through mainstream media that have not been accurate, and it will be nice through an unfiltered forum to get to speak truthfully about who we are and what we stand for and what Alaska is all about. The idea is to focus on the content of the book and what’s coming in terms of me being able to tell my story unrestrained and unfiltered.
“Unrestrained and unfiltered”? A Jerry Springer Spectacular? You betcha!Be sure to check your local Christian bookseller for the “special Christian Faithful edition“.
The book will be co-published for the Christian market by HarperCollins subsidiary Zondervan. [Palin's attorney Robert] Barnett said he’s had other clients, such as Dan Quayle, Bill Bennett and Oliver North — “people who have a faith element to their lives” — who also had their books co-published by a religious subsidiary. Such firms have relationships with religious-oriented bookstores. It is also possible that the Zondervan version of the Palin book might be slightly different than the Harper one.
“Sometimes you put a different cover on it, sometimes you might add an extra chapter to the edition that’s more faith oriented, all those plans remain to be made,” Barnett said.
At present, promotion and publicity efforts have not yet been set in place, though we understand that Crayola is interested in a joint effort. “Sometimes you put a different cover on it, sometimes you might add an extra chapter to the edition that’s more faith oriented, all those plans remain to be made,” Barnett said.
