We love her and and pray to her and all the other saints, yes im sure you dont believe in saints either I am not sure, to pray for our intercessions and on the behalf of all sinners, sick, poor, etc.

We don't believe in giving them Christ's place:

1 Tim. 2:5-6: For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We do not believe that Mary is next to God but the Mother who said yes to God and raised a child, Jesus. The eternal virgen is everyone's mother and will always be here for us.

Matt. 12:48-50: But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.

We in Landover Baptist Church do the will of the Father; are you going to have plaster statues of us placed in your church, too?

Pastor with all due respect sir, we are not sinless. We do not worship Mary by acting like she is God. Mary, as well as saints, lived a Chirst-like life and you as a Pastor understand we should admire those who live out a life devouted to Christ. For example, A statue of a great and admiral general, like George Washington who helped create this free country, we do not praise George Washington rather we respect him. The statue acts as a reminder to all the bravery and courage Washington had and may we live our lives with this honor and courage. Im not asking you to "believe in Catholicism" I would just like you to be informed and respectable to my beliefs.

First of all I am very glad that you agree that Jesus is the one who makes the final judgement not the members of the land over babtist church.

Third, Please do not insult my religion if you do not understand it. Catholics do not worship mary as God, we do not worship anyone only the Holy Trinity. Mary is the Mother of God. When I pray, I do so to Jesus, I do so to God. When you pray to Mary or the other dead pope's, YOU are in fact worshiping them. If you so desire, I will produce scripture on what our Lord has to say on the subject of false idols and false Gods. I am sure that if you have a Bible, you have the ability to look it up.

I know you papists aren't sinless, but we True Christians(tm) are.

1st John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

A statue of George Washington is not the same as a statue of Mary or the saints. Do you have statues of George Washington in churches, surrounded by votive candles? Do people come and kneel at the feet of the Washington statue and pray, even if it is intercessory prayer? Do you have any prayers that begin with "Hail George, full of grace, the Lord is with thee..."?

As I'm reading this blurb, I cannot help but have an image in my mind of someone stuck in quicksand arguing that he's not stuck while he's slowly but surely sinking deeper and deeper.

The Pastor is standing there holding a rope he threw at you, yet you refuse to grab it to save your life. He shouts "please grab it and be saved" and you go "with all due respect, but I don't like the fabric of your rope".

Everyone is rooting for you to make the right choice. Go for it!

And there we have it a real life cafeteria Christian. You do not get to pick and choose what parts of the Bible you agree with. No way buddy, can you say I just wan't the desert please, I don't like meat and vegetables. The word of God must be taken in full, every last word! Oh my I only like the New Testament, I will pass on the old Testament, thats not how it works. The Path to Salvation does not come with desert only!

I am trying my best to respect your beliefs. The only reason I am posting is to inform you what I believe in. I am intruiged by what you believe in and I am open to criticism not nasty remarks. I do not understand why if I say one thing that you thinks offends or contradicts your beliefs, you rip on me and believe that I am wrong and the the landover babtist church is the only church that will be saved by Jesus Christ on that day of Judgement. How do you know what the right choice is. I dont know what the right choice is.
To Pastor Osborne, Every single human being is born with human sin. As I am sure you know the first sin of eating the apple of the forbidden tree. Also, You have sinned in life, for example I am sure you have lied in your lifetime. If you really want scriptural evidence recall the stoning of the unfaithful wife. Jesus sais that the first man without sin may cast the first stone at this woman, not one man cast a stone.

There in lies the problem, We are Gods Favorite Church. We live life the way we are told to in the Bible. The members of this Church are True Christians.
When you accept Jesus into your heart, and are baptized, you agree that the Bible, KJV 1611 is the word of God. You make a covenant with Jesus to live the remainder of your life in the manor told in the Bible. You are washed in the Blood of Jesus and sins are removed from you. I am sorry if my spelling error up set you, not really.
