U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes

Praise Jesus and God Bless America's Military Contractors for taking my advice and inscribing snippets of God's Holy Word on the hardware our Christian Troops are using to send islamofascists to hell for Jesus.

And curse the drive-by media liberal thugs for breaking the news that was supposed to remain TOP SECRET.

U.S. Military Weapons Inscribed With Secret 'Jesus' Bible Codes

Pentagon Supplier for Rifle Sights Says It Has 'Always' Added New Testament References

Coded references to New Testament Bible passages about Jesus Christ are inscribed on high-powered rifle sights provided to the United States military by a Michigan company, an ABC News investigation has found.

At the end of the serial number on Trijicon's ACOG gun sight, you can read "JN8:12", a reference to the New Testament book of John, Chapter 8, Verse 12, which reads: "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." The ACOG is widely used by the U.S. military.

The sights are used by U.S. troops in Iraq and Afghanistan and in the training of Iraqi and Afghan soldiers. The maker of the sights, Trijicon, has a $660 million multi-year contract to provide up to 800,000 sights to the Marine Corps, and additional contracts to provide sights to the U.S. Army.

U.S. military rules specifically prohibit the proselytizing of any religion in Iraq or Afghanistan and were drawn up in order to prevent criticism that the U.S. was embarked on a religious "Crusade" in its war against al Qaeda and Iraqi insurgents.

One of the citations on the gun sights, 2COR4:6, is an apparent reference to Second Corinthians 4:6 of the New Testament, which reads: "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ."

Other references include citations from the books of Revelation, Matthew and John dealing with Jesus as "the light of the world." John 8:12, referred to on the gun sights as JN8:12, reads, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Trijicon confirmed to ABCNews.com that it adds the biblical codes to the sights sold to the U.S. military. Tom Munson, director of sales and marketing for Trijicon, which is based in Wixom, Michigan, said the inscriptions "have always been there" and said there was nothing wrong or illegal with adding them. Munson said the issue was being raised by a group that is "not Christian." The company has said the practice began under its founder, Glyn Bindon, a devout Christian from South Africa who was killed in a 2003 plane crash.

The company's vision is described on its Web site: "Guided by our values, we endeavor to have our products used wherever precision aiming solutions are required to protect individual freedom."
"We believe that America is great when its people are good," says the Web site. "This goodness has been based on Biblical standards throughout our history, and we will strive to follow those morals."

Spokespeople for the U.S. Army and the Marine Corps both said their services were unaware of the biblical markings. They said officials were discussing what steps, if any, to take in the wake of the ABCNews.com report. It is not known how many Trijicon sights are currently in use by the U.S. military.

The biblical references appear in the same type font and size as the model numbers on the company's Advanced Combat Optical Guides, called the ACOG.

A photo on a Department of Defense Web site shows Iraqi soldiers being trained by U.S. troops with a rifle equipped with the bible-coded sights.

"It's wrong, it violates the Constitution, it violates a number of federal laws," said Michael "Mikey" Weinstein of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, an advocacy group that seeks to preserve the separation of church and state in the military.

    'Firearms of Jesus Christ'

"It allows the Mujahedeen, the Taliban, al Qaeda and the insurrectionists and jihadists to claim they're being shot by Jesus rifles," he said.
Weinstein, an attorney and former Air Force officer, said many members of his group who currently serve in the military have complained about the markings on the sights. He also claims they've told him that commanders have referred to weapons with the sights as "spiritually transformed firearm[s] of Jesus Christ."

He said coded biblical inscriptions play into the hands of "those who are calling this a Crusade."

According to a government contracting watchdog group, fedspending.org, Trijicon had more than $100 million in government contracts in fiscal year 2008. The Michigan company won a $33 million Pentagon contract in July, 2009 for a new machine gun optic, according to Defense Industry Daily. The company's earnings from the U.S. military jumped significantly after 2005, when it won a $660 million long-term contract to supply the Marine Corps with sights.

"This is probably the best example of violation of the separation of church and state in this country," said Weinstein. "It's literally pushing fundamentalist Christianity at the point of a gun against the people that we're fighting. We're emboldening an enemy."
Of COURSE we're pushing Christianity over in the sand nigra lands! What's wrong with that? Those towelheads need to get some Jesus in them, one way or another! Why do these liberal pantywaists think that Jesus commanded GWB to send troops over there in the first place??
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

I did that anyway when I was there. I also oiled my rifle with pig fat and dipped my bullets in bacon grease. Seriously, it was common practice.
We all did and I bet they still do.

Its sad that the ragheaded sandies will never get to see the scripture. Because in the hands of our faithfull Christian soldiers, there time is limited. At least we can spread the word at a high velocity to get it out there quicker...
"And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples believed on Him" (John 2:10-11 KJV)

Constitutional or not, I think the scripture makes them better weapons for fighting this holy war against the islamofascist terrorists.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

They made it a part of basic training now.. Week2 you learn how to properly grease up your rifle and make sure all your ammunition is properly blessed.

This is a brilliant idea! I ought to start special-ordering guns with Bible verses on them!

Though wouldn't it be more proper if it were the bullets that had the verses on them? I for one would get far more satisfaction out of ventilating the cranium of an Islamofacist with a slug with John 3:16 on it than just a gun-barrel engraved with GOD's love.

They leave the ammunition unmarked so the soldiers can etch their own favorite Bible verses in them. Very easy to do with a small piece of metal, a screwdriver, or your knife. Why do you think they made them out of lead? It's for easy carving.

This just in from the "Captain Obvious" mailbox... From the story:

Tom Munson, director of sales and marketing for Trijicon, which is based in Wixom, Michigan, said the inscriptions "have always been there" and said there was nothing wrong or illegal with adding them. Munson said the issue was being raised by a group that is "not Christian."
I am stunned that this even needs to be said. Even FLASE Christians would support this effort. No Chritian in his right mind would send his brother soldiers into war without emblazoning some Biblical reference somewhere.

Now that the story has broke, are we going to tell everyone that while Bush was in power, every solider synched their Biblical code on their weapon with the passage that Rumsfield cited on the cover sheets of his defense briefings for the President?

I don't understand why the Atheists give a damn anyway. I thought the combination of letters and numbers didn't mean anything to them anyway, so what does it matter what model letters or whatever numbers are inscribed on the guns? They don't just want to ignore Christianity, they want ALL OF US to ignore Christianity!

That was more of a message to God the Almighty than Iraq. Every good American knows Iraqis live in the sand hence they are "Sand Monkeys". Last time I checked the Good Book, "Sand Monkeys (or Negroes take your pick)" do not fly, especially above Uncle Sam's pleasure cruisers. No this was a message to God himself which surely resulted from divine inspiration. If our boys out there wanted to send a message to the sand monkeys they'd have used banana tipped depleted uranium SCUDS for sure.

I thought that maybe those scopes were just a gimmick but no sir! They are better than any thing the Japs and even the Germans are selling and you get scripture to boot. I am trying to become a distributor. In the mean time I will inscribe scripture on all the killing machines I sell. I am already selling special hand loads called PTLs or Praise the Lords. They are mercury tipped hollow points.

I did get to test fire one ot the Trijion scope and they are superb. They are bright, sharp, rugged and spot on, just like us True Christians.
