Re: Iraq: the good news and the bad

In a vain and probably doomed attempt to reverse the tedious queer's attempt to derail this thread into yet another discussion of his dull personal life, here's some more good news from Iraq!

    • 26,695 soldiers have been reported wounded in action.
    • 66,939 is the minimum number of civilians killed in Iraq.
    • $441.9 billion in taxpayer funds have been spent on the war.
    • $214.5 million is Pasadena taxpayers' share, enough to provide more than 10,396 Pasadenans with four-year scholarships to attend public universities.

    Since the last Count…
    • 47 more American soldiers have been reported killed.
    • 345 more American soldiers have been reported wounded.
    • 132 more Iraqi civilians have been reported killed.
    • 100 or more people were killed in a suicide bombing north of Baghdad on Saturday, according to the Associated Press. The attack was called a sign “Sunni insurgents are pulling away from a US offensive around the capital to attack where security is thinner.”
    • 6 US service people were killed over a two-day period, Reuters reported on Saturday.
    • 12 Sunni Muslim factory workers were kidnapped while returning home from work on Sunday, according to BBC News. Their bodies were discovered near Baghdad on Monday.
    • 617 people were killed violently in the week ending July 4 “compared to 299 for the week before,” BBC News reported on Friday.
    • 540 bodies were recovered in Baghdad in June, according to a BBC News report last Thursday.
    • 70,000 Sunni insurgents were estimated to be in Iraq in March, according to the Brookings Institute.
It's that last piece I find particularly inspiring, but it's all pretty good news. You may wonder why this is so heartening, so let me explain. As the Godly George Bush has said, "the insurgents are being defeated; that's why they're continuing to fight." And this latest wave of attacks just goes to show how desperate they must be. It's like they've recognised their defeat is inevitable, so they're attempting some kind of a surge in attacks to try and salvage some kind of dignity. Have you ever heard of anything more ridiculous and destined to failure?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Hold everything Brother T! My keen eyes have detected a fat wad of pork hidden in this list of Godly good news! I want to know which demoncrat is responsible for THIS colossal waste of taxpayer money!

$214.5 million is Pasadena taxpayers' share, enough to provide more than 10,396 Pasadenans with four-year scholarships to attend public universities.

That money could be spent to prevent abortions in Iraq, or buy more ammo for our Godly troops. WHY are we wasting money on sending "Pasadenans" to secular universities? Isn't that how they turn queer and oppose the War on Terror in the first place?

This really boils my blood. If I paid any taxes (thank you again Jesus!) I would be even more outraged, I'm sure.
      Who Will Jesus Damn?

Post a photograph of you and these weapons. That's the only proof that works.

Otherwise, you are just another zit-faced kid with an inferiority complex.

My word! I hadn't noticed that, thanks for pointing it out to me. I expect it's only a matter of time before the Demoncrats start measuring the cost of everything in terms of how many mosques they could have built, or how many kids they could've sent to Al-Qaeda training camps.

This is good news indeed; that is 10,000 people who souls were saved from a Darwinist indoctrination. War on terror indeed.

Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

If you really had access to fire arms then why were you beat up? Stuff like that doesn't happen in Jesus' America because we all carry guns.

                  I wasn't beat up. I was wounded.

How is the war, anyway, really, are we winning?

Well you see there could in fact be several reasons, such as:

                    1. He was not carrying any of those on him at the time.
                    2. He was not carrying any ammo with them.
                    3. They weren't loaded and ready, so he didn't get a chance to prepare them.
                    4. He was taken by surprise.
                    5. Just because you have superior resources, doesn't mean you automatically win. You have to use them correctly.
                    6. He's a bad shot.

I'm glad you asked that, Omerta! You'll be glad to know that victory is just around the corner. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and we've passed the darkest hour. Freedom is on the march, and the insurgency is in its last throes, if you will. Thanks to the bold leadership of Our Commander-in-Chief, President George W. Bush, al Qaeda is on the run. Slowly but surely, the freedom-loving Iraqi people are standing up so that we can stand down. The surge is an enormous success. Iraq is as safe as the streets of Anytown, USA.

In addition to the blissfully peaceful conditions on the street, our brave fighting men and women in harm's way are capturing more and more al Qaeda members every single day, including some surprisingly dangerous al Qaeda terrorists intent on attacking America because of their deep, deep hatred for Our Freedoms.

In this picture, Our Brave and Heroic troops are about to blow a hole through the heads of these two al Qaeda terrorists, who are suspected of turning their house into an al Qaeda bomb factory to make bombs for al Qaeda. According to the autopsy, they had gunpowder of a type commonly used and prefered by al Qaeda all over their al Qaeda hands, many explosive al Qaeda devices of the type used by al Qaeda were discoved in their al Qaeda bomb factory, as was an al Qaeda employee ID card with their pictures on it and a buy 10 subs get one free card from the al Qaeda employee cafeteria. Their parents were also tried and executed that afternoon. It was a great victory for the United States of America over al Qaeda.
