Anyway I think you know what I mean mr. nobar. Were not in a courtroom the point is its in there in the constitution and the lawyers are making that very clear.

Those are the key words there, without due process of law. Now why don't we take another look at the thirteenth amendment?

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.

See what I'm getting at? There is nothing in the constitution that forbids slavery, involuntary servitude or the rights of the State to deprive people of life, liberty or property so long as it is done with due process of law.

Now all we need to do is get some True Christians™ in Congress and the White House and we can easily go back to Biblical law. Praise!

Sister Lycia, I can tell you that I was impressed with your jurisprudence and expounding to Mrs What'shername where she went wrong.

As I read it I wondered if this meant that I should be paying "Boy" (my faithful retainer these past 40 years) some wages. He seems happy with his food, accommodation and his the attic space over the garage.

It also struck me that the "without due process of law" must mean that someone has to start the case, and that would be a complaining employee. But what has a volunteer to complain of? "Boy" (I must see if he had a real name) has remained with me since I bought him from a lynch mob in Huntsville back then.

Well Pastor Bathfire, I really don't know, just being a simple woman, and I think you might wish to direct your question towards our Godly lawyer Brother Gabriel or Judge HTannor.

However, it seems to me that your manservant has quite a good volunteer deal going for him. I think if he had wanted to leave he would have surely voiced his concerns to yourself or a neutral third party by now. But getting food and a place to live for free? Why, more people should benefit by such True Christian™ charity before they try to pass judgement.

I miss the good old days when you could shower with a bunch of men and it wasn't gay. When two guys popped a tent it was to sleep together not to get brokeback with each other. The American constitution always fascinates me. In Australia if there is some sort Law e.g. the Racial Discrimination Act that gets in the way of what The Government wants to do, e.g. block welfare payments to black people they just suspend that law and do it anyway

Well we don't do that here. You I mean they can overturn rulings sometimes,

but it takes so long that by the time it got done and went into affect/binding the original matter you wanted it changed for would be done in the system already and out among the people. So there's no quick way.

And that's good because laws shouldn't be overturned rashly IMO (in my opinion)

You're right about one thing (for the first time in this thread), laws should not be overturned rashly. For instance this Godless awful ruling regarding DADT. You would thing that perverse gay homosexuals would be happy with serving their country and keeping their mouth's shut regarding their perverse ways, but I guess that's not enough for them. What's next? A rainbow ribbon on the tip of their bayonet? Maybe a Lady Gaga song as they fight Godless "insurgents" in Iraq, of whom which we only wish to spread Democracy and the word of Christ to?

There really is only one law, and that is the law of God, and I can see by your previous posts that that mean little to nothing to you. I do feel a small piece of pity for you, I'm not sure what you did to bring this on yourself, but rest assured that the power of prayer does in fact work. Perhaps if you would humble yourself before God, then he might take some pity on you and show you the way to help turn your daughter from her sinful whorish ways.

Despite my belief that those people are a black mark on the world, I do not believe that even they are beyond redemption. By the grace of God even your wicked daughter may see the light and bring herself back into the light.
