That racists scoundrel Obama just announced he wants to "reform" that boondoggle of a enticement program social security that allows cripples gold plated chamber pots at lets the Chines buy America out. Representative Paul Ryan wants to replace medicare with a voucher program at will allow America's hard working seniors to get a tax cut on their health insurance (provided they have no preexisting condition or in a high risk group)

I heard on the radio that 20% of the money paid in premiums to insurance companies goes to administrative overhead and shareholder profits. Right now, that's money wasted on ridiculous line items like "prescription medication coverage" and "preventive care".

If this passes . . . we should all buy stock in health insurance companies!

I think a Pirate would run the country along these lines

Well, I basically support this idea of vouchers, but I'm not totally comfortable with it. I mean, I don't think the government ought to be giving away vouchers to anyone who isn't rich already. Once you start giving stuff to the undeserving poor, they start demanding more, and pretty soon you've got welfare, food stamps and communism.

But don't get me wrong - I'm all for taxpayer-funded public-private partnerships. What I'd like to see is for the federal government to give vouchers to seniors, but in order to get the cash, they have to first play them in designated private casinos (like the ones run by my company). You know, like those coupons you get at Las Vegas casinos - one free drink if you play a minimum $10 at the craps table, or 2-for-one coupon at the dinner buffet if you cash your paycheck in the casino for gambling chips and play them at the blackjack tables.

This, in my opinion, would be a true win-win for senior citizens, taxpayers and big corporations (from which all our wealth trickles down). It would create lots of minimum wage jobs, while at the same time maximizing shareholder value.

Seniors don't need social security, and I speak as one, as I just turned 70 years old past September! I get by rather comfortably with my contractual salary from the Landover Baptist Church as well as the countless donations from my faithful viewers.

This is the way I look at it: If a person is hard-working all their life and smart, they will save up enough to retire and live off of their own savings. That is the smart, Republican, American way. If they don't have enough, well tough luck. We don't need these old people leeching off taxpayer's hard earned dollars when we have two (soon to be three hopefully) wars to pay for. How are we going to maintain national security if all our money goes to some 80 year old woman in a wheelchair? Every dollar that goes to feed some impoverished elderly person who can't take care of themselves is taken away from destroying Al-Qaeda and bombing terrorist training centers (aka villages and towns).

SUPPORTING SOCIAL SECURITY = SUPPORTING TERRORISM.
