  • Update on Iraq.

Update in Iraq: Good the Americans have accomplished:
    1. Over 400,000 kids have up-to-date immunizations.
    2. School attendance is up 80% from levels before the war.
    3. Over 1,500 schools have been renovated and rid of the weapons stored there so education can occur.
    4. The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so grain can be off-loaded from ships faster.
    5. The country had its first 2 billion barrel export of oil in August.
    6. Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water for the first time ever in Iraq.
    7. The country now receives 2 times the electrical power it did before the war.
    8. 100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed, compared to 35% before the war.
    9. Elections are taking place in every major city, and city councils are in place.
    10. Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
    11. Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
    12. Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are securing the country.
    13. Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the streets side by side with US soldiers.
    14. Over 400,000 people have telephones for the first time ever.
    15. Students are taught field sanitation and hand washing techniques to prevent the spread of germs.
    16. An interim constitution has been signed.
    17. Girls are allowed to attend school.
    18. Textbooks that don't mention Saddam are in the schools for the first time in 30 years.
Don't believe for one second that these people do not want us there. I have met many, many people from Iraq that want us there, and in a bad way. They say they will never see the freedoms we talk about but they hope their children will. We are doing a good job in Iraq and I challenge anyone, anywhere to dispute me on these facts.
The devil, whose business is to pervert the truth, mimics the exact circumstance of the Divine Sacraments. He baptises his believers and promises forgiveness of sins...he celebrates the oblation of bread, and brings in the symbol of the resurrection. Let us therefore acknowledge the craftiness of the devil, who copied certain things of those that be divine."

    Iraq

There have been 4,272 coalition deaths -- 3,966 Americans, two Australians, 174 Britons, 13 Bulgarians, one Czech, seven Danes, two Dutch, two Estonians, one Fijian, one Hungarian, 33 Italians, one Kazakh, one Korean, three Latvian, 22 Poles, three Romanians, five Salvadoran, four Slovaks, 11 Spaniards, two Thai and 18 Ukrainians -- in the war in Iraq as of February 18, 2008, according to a CNN count. (Graphical breakdown of casualties). The list below is the names of the soldiers, Marines, airmen, sailors and Coast Guardsmen whose deaths have been reported by their country's governments. The list also includes seven employees of the U.S. Defense Department. At least 29,203 U.S. troops have been wounded in action, according to the Pentagon. View casualties in the war in Afghanistan and examine U.S. war casualties dating back to the Revolutionary War.

Praise! Just for a small price, but very worth it.

More people died here from food poisoning during that period. We should be more worried about the FDA than AlQaida.
May you be a blessing to every life you touch.

I was glad to see they're learning how to wash their hands. I hope that soap can be introduced into their heathen desert culture one day soon. Lord, I've heard stories about how bad they smell over in that heat.

Camel urine only goes so far, I would imagine.

              Hello.

I guess I'm old fashioned. How many of these fellas have we brought to Jesus?

We can feed them and clothe them, and that's OK. And we can kill them, that's OK too. Like a gain of yards is OK. But the score is, what's the touchdowns?

How many downs have we touched? If I go over there, can I even get one of these Iraqi guys to touch my pigskin, much less grab it and go?

I'm a baller for the Lord and I always have been. Sometimes I get sacked, OK. But I am scrambling towards Heaven. I want these guys to go deep, like I go deep.

The cost of this All American Overseas Aid has been $1,000,000,000,000 so far - and they accuse the US of having no charity or being unconcerned with their plight!

Such ingratitude! Were it not being done in the name of The Almighty, I'd question why we were doing it at all.
