God does NOT have a favourite country

One of the stupidist things I have read on this forum is that the USA is God's favourite nation. The US is not a Christian country and Jesus' kingdom is NOT of this world (Jn 18, 36). This world, and all the nations in it, are under Satan's dominions. Christians are citizens of heaven, and nothing but strangers and pilgrims in whatever nation we happen to reside. The KIngdom of God has no geographic borders.

In case you aren't aware, the Lord says that He is coming back to burn the world, and create a new Heaven and a new Earth. The USA is no more special that China, Pakistan or Djibouti.

You've made some outrageous statements before but this is over the top. How can you say that the USA is NOT God's favored country? Are you some sort Canuckistan fairy? Now I know that being a Papist has made your mind weak and lost you your soul. I know that the Papacy has made it impossible (at least for now) to see the truth. If it wasn’t for the good old USA you’d be speaking Jap or German or, God save us, French. You need to retract your words and beg us for forgiveness!

A young girl in Darfur can look forward to being gangraped, tortured, and left for dead, all for the crime of leaving the house.

The poor guy raises important issues in his own ignorant way. I mean, yes, it is important to understand that the US is God's favorite country, and why, because that makes it all that much more clear that we are in jeopardy of losing that status if we don't do something about the child murders and homosex going on inside our borders. But it's getting a little tiresome responding to his barrage of unsubstantiated opinions regarding what the Lord thinks. We don't need Jacques for that, we could just go to the Unitarian Universalist homepage.

I'm not trying to offend anyone I'm just wondering where the concept comes from.

Son, the US population is presently over 300 million people. Occasionally God has to righteously punish a few sinners that happen to pop up from time to time. I personally don't have a problem with that, and am frankly surprised that it doesn't happen more often.
