halloween is not a bad holiday. its only bad if you make it bad.
kids dressing up as fictional characters getting free candy is NOT wrong. actually, they are some good memories. denying a child a night of fun because gos "said so" is wrong. what if a child dressed as jesus on halloween. would the world implode. would the child be immediately cast down to hell for impersonating your savior on such an unholy day? give me a break.
yes, some can take the holiday as an evil day, but only if you make it so.
