Brother Hatchet, I have been wondering about this myself. Having studied the Asian languages I have looked at the way Hitoshi writes, and it is not so obvious that he is a fraud, as it was with Hu Lao (who used gerunds and things that do not exist in Mandarin). If I had suspected Hitoshi I would have outed him before, but I think he's genuine.

Still, since he's running around today causing trouble, I have an idea. About 18 months ago I was travelling in Japan and Tokyo, like all cities, has a fashionable restaurant district. In this case it is the Ni-chome section of Tokyo and I went there thinking maybe I could get a decent hand roll. At a kiosk, a comic caught my eye.

Hitoshi, perhaps you can explain to us what this comic is? I picked a picture rather than a language question because it's harder to google.

One meaning of Hu is "tiger." As in 老虎不吃回頭食 or "the old tiger does not come back to eat the prey that he he didn't finish off the first time." Basically, it means that if you don't get it done right when you are there the first time, just go away and don't come back.
