Here's an interesting situation.

Say God comes to you in a dream and says your favorite sweater is now bulletproof. It is blessed by the power of the Lord and He tells you that if you wear it, you cannot be hurt by a bullet.

Do you people believe this is true? That a sweater could stop bullets?

I for one, think you are a complete idiot if you find this true.

Do you believe this is possible? That Beaker could post intelligently or wittily? That he could start a thread that I won't have to close?

Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Yes, a mountain. If faith can move a mountain, what kind of obstacle is a bullet? But we've heard all the God-hater arguments before. "So would you wear your bullet-proof sweater while I shoot at you?" The answer is NO. God does NOT like to be tested!

Deuteronomy 6:16 Ye shall not tempt the LORD your God, as ye tempted him in Massah.

Matthew4:7 Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

Luke 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.

And even with all that aside, even though we'd feel safer, we'd still avoid people shooting at us. A bullet-proof sweater is no protection against a head shot.
