I rarely listen to music these days, but your attempt to judge me as a fan of band I had never even thought to listen to astounds me. This was simply the first thread that was topped in this section of the website and was quite surprised with what I found. You all twist what the bible says to prove your own points, yet discredit several accounts where it would shoot down your argument. If you know anything of history, the times in which the Old Testament was written consisted of people telling stories in grand fashion, not a literal one like the New Testament's time period. No doubt did these things happen, but a literal read of the bible in that context makes you no less radical than the Taliban or other Islamic groups. It's actually quite frightening

The worst is when the fans at the concerts get the interpolations or songs wrong. That's extremely infuriating.

Must have missed that quote in the bible... oh wait, that's right there isn't one. He is our Lord and Saviour, but not a dictator. Otherwise, that thing referred to as "free will" wouldn't exist sweetheart.

This forum is appalling to me. I thought this was a forum for discussion of religion? Not one of judgement and hatred. It says in the forum about joining that freedom of speech is welcome here, say what you mean, but yet everytime I see someone voicing an opinion, looking for help no less, they get banned or flamed. Something else that opening document frowns upon.

I also found it awkward, through reading these forums, that when a poster questioned another fellow poster a moderator said "who are you to judge us". Yet, whenever he or a poster on his side of the argument decided to chime in, he would cite several instances from the bible where it does say to judge thy neighbor.

That's a lot of sputtering about, son. Maybe you should relax a bit and not worry so much about what you "think" and "find awkward".

You should see this Holy Forum as God does. LandoverBaptist.net is God's favorite forum on the Internets. Do you know why? Because we ONLY preach His truth from His KJV1611 Bible, and then we apply it, as He would, to the day-to-day life that we all live.

For example, I can guarantee you that God has never heard a Dave Matthews song that He enjoyed... And really, can you blame Him? The problem isn't so much that the Dave Matthews Band lacks talent (which it does lack), as it lacks inspiration (in spades), which are unfortunate realities that we -- and God -- know don't stop the unsaved masses from lapping up Dave Matthews' slop.
