They have a song called "Minarets". A minaret is something Muslim. They are obviously trying to push forward an agenda to kill God. Matthews even once dreamed that he killed God, and then wrote a song about it. (Un-cleverly titled "Dreamed I Killed God.")

He even had the NERVE to call one of his songs "Lying in the Hands of God."

This fellow is not to be trusted, at all. I was tempted by his music when I was in college, mostly due to the fact that I foolishly wanted to fit in and was tempted into sin by fornicating with young women who smelled of patchouli and listened to this garbage. Thankfully, I am now saved.

As someone who used to listen to this group when I was younger and unsaved..

I have to disagree with the OP this band has a huge religious undertone are they a christan band no they are not. but many of there songs deal with Jesus or God in one way or the other normally praising God.

I believe the word of the bible. I was simply giving you a factual history lesson. I have been baptized in my church of faith, I will be with God one day, let there be no doubt about that.

Your intolerance is tragic but not nearly as tragic as the fate awaiting you, if you continue down your unsaved road of unwarranted self-importance. Jesus longs to share His mighty love with you. Will you accept His gracious entreaties and taste His Heavenly love?

I rarely listen to music these days, but your attempt to judge me as a fan of band I had never even thought to listen to astounds me. This was simply the first thread that was topped in this section of the website and was quite surprised with what I found. You all twist what the bible says to prove your own points, yet discredit several accounts where it would shoot down your argument. If you know anything of history, the times in which the Old Testament was written consisted of people telling stories in grand fashion, not a literal one like the New Testament's time period. No doubt did these things happen, but a literal read of the bible in that context makes you no less radical than the Taliban or other Islamic groups. It's actually quite frightening

If you ever show that kind of disrespect towards Mrs. Rogers again, the acrid smoke of Hellfire will waft across your nostrils to remind you of the reprobate's fate.
