It means the end of the world brother.
Once they create that big Black Hole, the Earth will fall in on itself.
Hopefully Jesus will take us all before then.
The Higgs boson is the last particle (as far as I know) that remains unidentified in the standard model of particle physics, and is related to how gravitation forces are produced.
In short, if this particle is found, physics should be able to explain pretty much everything. Some people claim this therefore negates the need for a God to explain the unexplained.
Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.

Are you suggesting that God's name is Higgs and he works on a ship?
Repent now me hearty before it's too late is my advice.
Col. 1:16-17 (emphasis added): For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
That is, the most fundamental particle in the universe is Jesus.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.

I knew it! These atheist scienticians hate God so much that they're trying to kill Him!
Bible boring? Nonsense! Try Bible in a Year with Brother V, or join Shirlee and the kids as they discuss Real Bible Stories! You can't be a Christian if you don't know God's Word!

Well said, Pastor.
Surely ALL particles in the universe are God's, why are the so-called 'scientists' looking for just the one?
Colossians 2:8
Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
To all Heathens who come here to abuse us asking why you should be Christian in your deluded ignorance:
John 3 16:For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
The Higgs boson particle is a particle that explains the physics of an atom. It is known as the "God particle" because we are almost 100% sure that it exists, but we cannot see it, much like God.
Finding it isn't an attempt to kill God, but one used to better understand the world he gave us.
