Starvation also affects brain function - reading to a person who is dying of hunger is pointless. First feed their bodies, then worry about feeding their souls.

Maybe if the child took responsibility for themselves and instead of waiting for a hand out they pulled themselves up by their boot straps and found a job so they could by food they wouldn't have this problem? That's why the starving children of the world need to hear the message of the Bible so they can free themselves from the terrible poverty the liberal nanny state has put them in.

In famine conditions, there is no food to be found.
What about children who are too young to find jobs?
What about areas that are so impoverished that there are no paying jobs to be found, even for adults?

That's because people like object to Brother Montague offshoring his work to some starving hell hole in Africa because it is a "sweat shop". If Brother Montague could open more "sweat shops" thousands of women and children would be employed in those factories.
