I have just put down, my 1855 first edition of T. B. Read's "New Pastoral*" in which the poet writes of "His partner, bowed, walks tottering, with a palsy-shaking head." and naturally thought of the palsy, usually taken to mean “paralysis” but also to mean those who twitch in an uncontrolled manner when beset by demons of agitation. We see this in Matt. 9:2-8; Mark 2:1-12; : Luke 5:17-26.
Or is it demons? Jesus expels demons for a lunatic and sends them into a herd of swine (Matthew 8.28-36, Mark 5.1-20 and Luke 8.20-34), yet later he says that a blind man was made blind by God Who is just showing us how powerful He is (Mark 8:22-26; Matt 9:27-31; John 9:1-7)
Of course, some people are careless of those who suffer, and I well remember Jenkins Worthfield putting his aged mother aboard a Greyhound to Omaha when she had Parkinson’s so bad she couldn’t speak, but I never did find out what happened.
So, if you have an affliction and are concerned about the demon/God conundrum, don’t be sent off to Omaha, call one of our Pastors and make an initial free consultation. Diagnosis is very difficult and obviously it depends on the cause as to what the treatment will be.
I mention all this as I saw this video. Take time out to see what scientists have inflicted on this man who is already suffering from either (i) a case of demon possession or is (ii) a walking (or rather non-walking) testament to the power of The Lord.
You see that, either way, this is artificial, this is no real “cure”, this is either temporarily suppressing the demons or defying God. If the demons are still there, some will escape and others will become possessed; if it is God’s Power, nothing can counter it.
Only God can both defeat demons and change His Perfect Mind as to the length of time you need serve as an advertisement for Him.
The conclusion is that that man in the video has been deceived by Satan through science so-called.
