You haven't read the Bible, liar. Dinosaurs are there all over the place (of course they did not use that name, which was coined in the 19th century).

As we are currently discussing Why Atheists are so miserable, I have decided to start this new thread - to continue my '101 Reasons' Series with '101 reasons why Atheists are WRONG'.

Reason No. 1 - The Holy Bible!

Atheists 'claim' that God doesn't exist, yet the Bible proves them WRONG! I can see the Bible, hold it in my hand, and know 1000% that it exists! As God wrote the Bible, this proves that he MUST EXIST too! How dumb these Atheists are!

Reason No. 2 - Evil-ution from Monkeys!

If we really evolved from monkeys, why do monkeys STILL exist? Surely they would've evolved too? And why don't we have tails or swing from trees or speak in monkey-talk? These atheists must be pretty deluded to believe such nonsense!

Reason No. 3 - The 'Big Bang'

Atheists believe there was a 'Big Bang' which created the Earth and the Universe and all things?? Well, what created the 'Big Bang'?? And what was there before it 'banged'??? Ask ANY atheist - they won't be able to answer you! Why? Because God created the 'Big Bang'! And then went on to create the Earth and everything in just 6 days! Praise Jesus!

Reason No. 4 - Dinosaurs

Most dumb atheists believe that man and dinosaurs didn't inhabit the Earth at the same time. However, we know this to be a LIE! Didn't Noah ride dinosaurs onto the Ark? Aren't Dinosaurs mentioned throughout the Bible?

Here is one that I haven't seen posted. The Universe, scientists say, is fine-tuned for human beings. I think the evidence shows that it is fine tuned for Christianity. Why , imagine if the earth was tilted 90° so Jerusalem was at the North Pole. There would be no fig tree for Jesus to curse, in fact, no tree of any kind to make the cross, even no pigs to stick demons into. Yet, scientists can't tell you why the earth has exactly the tilt that it does. They say its just coincidence, Believe that and I have got a bridge in Brooklyn to sell.

I particularly love this strange recursive attempt at a proof. Do you realise that youve started by assuming its true in order to prove that its true? you could apply this argument to literally anything.

As a mathematician im going for the proof by contradiction approach, which essentially means that i'll assume god does not exist and go about my life until im met with a contradiction. its been 22 years and counting so far.

(and no a 2000 year old book isnt quite sufficient)

I particularly love this strange recursive attempt at a proof. Do you realise that youve started by assuming its true in order to prove that its true? you could apply this argument to literally anything.

As a mathematician im going for the proof by contradiction approach, which essentially means that i'll assume god does not exist and go about my life until im met with a contradiction. its been 22 years and counting so far.

(and no a 2000 year old book isnt quite sufficient)

You've also just given me an infraction, and the reason for this is most puzzling,

I am Christian and have been for all of my life, therefore comments or should i say labellings of 'Athiest using Landover to mock Christianity' are most unwellcome.

My comments were not vicous or of a hate-mongering intent either, why is it that you act against the followers of god, of which you are unfamiliar with yet do not strike out at those, that insult them... Your actions are very unchristian and warrant explanation

That's ridiculous. Christ accepted all into his circle who believed in Him. Everyone else He rejected and sentenced to an eternity of torture in the bowels of hell.

I am sure that my Brothers and Sisters are getting tired of hearing me say this to non-believers. I fear there are so many Heathens online lately that I am beginning to sound very redundent.

OK, so let's do it your way. Keep your same thought process and then:

Let's assume YOU are right.
You don't go to Heaven!

Let's assume YOU are wrong.
You go to Hell for all eternity!

I would like to commend you on the outstanding options you have left for yourself. And others call ME rude for pointing out the obviously stupid people that cross our path here. It used to amaze me. Now it is common-place.

this has probably been mentioned somewhere on the forum, but saying that god exists because the bible says though is the equivalent of saying "there is a book about harry potter. therefore, harry potter exists." regardless of whether or not harry potter exists, thats just a shocking lack of any logic whatsoever.

As a former atheist (now saved) I understand why they thought these arguments stood any ground whatsoever.

I used to read lots of books on evilution, the universe, and other dribble that I now realized I could have learned from just one.

But nonetheless, I believe that instead of just talking about how wrong the sinners are, you should look for actual reasons. I will be referencing the first post made by Brother Percy.

1. We may know that the Holy Bible is true, but they don't. I read a harry potter reference just above me, and even if the book was written by the LORD, devil-worshipers have no reason to believe this, as they don't even think there IS the LORD.

2. What the Atheists believe, is that we share a common ancestor, and that the monkeys, gorillas, and apes are just our cousins in the evilutionary tree.

3. The big bang -IS- bullshit, the only single reason anyone has for such TRASH is that the universe is expanding, nothing else.

4. The devil-worshipers are also, obviously wrong here too.

I am encouraging that one just thinks about reasons for numbers 1 and 2 if you don't want to come off as offensive, I did have more to say but I have to go out and eat now .

1. The bible is a story, much like the story of Santa. Santa was created to produce a sensation of happiness in young children. The bible was created to produce sanity in the population and to answer questions that were or still are un-answerable. Also prove that "God" wrote the bible.

2. Evolution is a form of "The strong survive" evolution is due to the fact that an organism/animal evolves/changes due to its surroundings. There are millions of examples of evolution such as bears. There are polar bears in the northern hemisphere, white/clear fur to blend in to its surrounding giving it an advantage on its prey.

Humans even show evolution in the present day. Black people have darken skin due to their original climate on the equator where the sun is strongest, they are taller to release more body heat. Aboriginal people are shorter and contain more fat to keep warm.

3. If "God" is real then why was "God" proven wrong with the creation of man. The bible states that Adam and Eve were the initial generation of humans which occurred about 4000 or so years ago. If this is true then explain the cave man which have been discovered in northern Canada which have been carbon dated over 300,000 years old.

5. Already answered, if you where not presently blinded by the truth you would know the answer too.
