hey i have a question. i have been a rebellious woman my entire life. i am asking my husband for his guidance and he is struggling for what to do with me. I so want his firm hand but he is afraid that i am not sincere. I want to be protected and i need much needed discipline. i have asked him.. what else can i do?

At the time, we are not attending any church. I became a little disillusioned going by myself for years. I am 46 years old and no... I do not have his permission to be on this forum. But he hasn't ever required me to get his permission for this sort of stuff and frankly, that bothers me.Do not be conformed...but be transformed!Comment

It strikes me (although you don’t get struck) that the problem you have is that you are trying to tell your husband what to do. This is completely forbidden by scripture. Thus, by not punishing you and not ordering you around, your husband is punishing you for your rebellion against him and God. Now I don’t believe that your husband in fact believes that God is wrong (who could believe that?) and therefore will not tolerate your believing such a thing.
This basic stratagem will then allow your husband to resume his rightful role as head of the household by the simple expedient of smacking you around the head until you accept his word and His Word as law.
