I've often wondered if women should pray; being female, they might pray to the wrong God. They should ask their husbands first if it's OK, I would imagine.

Re: Does God hear the prayers of women?
Yes, it is Biblical for women to pray (1) if they are barren and want to get pregnant, and (2) later to pray a prayer of thanksgiving once God helps them get pregnant.
See the story of Hannah in the beginning of 1 Samuel. Hannah wanted desperately to become pregnant, but the Lord had shut up her womb. So she went to the temple and prayed...
1Sam 1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
So, just like in the story of Rumpelstiltskin, Hannah promised to give up her first born son.
The Lord fulfilled His end of the bargain...
1Sam 1:19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
1Sam 1:20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.
However, unlike the story of Rumpelstiltskin, Hannah did not renege on her promise. She joyfully held up her end of the bargain and gave little Samuel to the priest at the nearest temple as soon as he was weaned.
This was her prayer of thanksgiving just before she gave up her baby:
1Sam 2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
1Sam 2:2 There is none holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
1Sam 2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORDis a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.
1Sam 2:4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.
1Sam 2:5 They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; and they that were hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.
1Sam 2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.
1Sam 2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
1Sam 2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD'S, and he hath set the world upon them.
1Sam 2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.
1Sam 2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

Re: Does God hear the prayers of women?
The Lord listens to all those who believe but not those, who, in the past, have not:
Proverb:1:7: The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverb:1:24: Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;
Proverb:1:25: But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
Proverb:1:26: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
Proverb:1:27: When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
Proverb:1:28: Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:
This probably accounts for the low percentage of prays answered, they are prayed by false Christians and the Lord will not have that!

Re: Does God hear the prayers of women?
Excellent question. I hope that the answers you've received prove that we aren't sexists here at Landover, as some of the heathen keep accusing. It is true that only males are Holy in the sight of the Lord:
As it is written in the law of the LORD, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord.... Luke 2:23
Nevertheless, God still wants to hear from our womenfolk, too, provided that they do their praying outside the church:
for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 1 Corinthians 14:35.
Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy name.... Jeremiah 10:25
