another 1 i can forget trying to be nice to...........
Awh, forgive me my sarcasm back there, but correctly formed sentences do have a much larger chance of being taken seriously. Your local newspaper isn't typed by 4 year olds either, is it?
It seems to me that the Old Testament has a different perspective than the New Testament. In the NT (the parts that come to mind, time I read the Bible again anyhow) it's stated more that God loves all, whereas in the OT, vice versa.
Gets pretty confusing for me too, but all the same; just because God loves all doesn't mean he can't punish them either, which might be interpreted as hatred. Could anyone compare both testaments on their views, perhaps?
The differences between the testaments are played up a great deal by false Christians seeking to legitimise their chucking out half of God's Word. Here at Landover, we follow the Bible in full, without creating arbitrary divisons - God is very clear throughout that He loves and rewards those who follow His commands, and punishes and humiliates those who reject Him. After all, when Jesus told us to love our neighbours, He was quoting the OT, and, while the OT is far longer than the New, the number of references to Hell is nearly the same in both, and those in the New Testament tend to be far more detailed -for instance, nowhere in the Old Testament does God mention sending sinners to burn in a Lake of Fire. You can try and create as many arbitrary divisions as you like, but it's still all one book.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.
God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.
Er, yes, have a rainbow. First of all, it's wiccan. Second, I'm more of an empirical agnost, so godesses really don't appeal to me that much, as does the superstition of things coming back threefold. And last but not least, I'd hate to be associated with all the posers out there who say they're wiccan, gothic (the pictures in the beginning of this thread were simply hilarious ), or whatever else there is, it just seems so "I'm trying to be accepted by people on the margin of society".

It's always a good time to read the Bible! Well put!
However, as BT has mentioned, Jesus didn't really bring much in the way of new doctrine. Instead, He came as the ultimate sacrifice, so people could stop killing off scores of animals in the temples. I imagine the blood was getting rather thick on the altar, what with all the population growth!
Nearly all of Jesus' doctrine comes from the old testament (it's His Word, anyway). Now, False Christians have inflated John 3:16 to the status of being the ONLY verse that matters in the New Testament; however, types of people God hates are described in the New Testament as well. If you want to review the Book of Revelation, you can see what God plans to do with them!
Now, we do understand that the John 3:16ers are pretty pervasive in society. However, let's look at it this way:
Let's imagine that, as the 3:16ers say, God loves everyone equally and God loves unconditionally. Let's use that as our founding belief.
We also know that God is omniscient. He therefore knows the past, present, and the future. This means He knew exactly what I would type here (no matter how many times I edit my composition before I hit Submit Reply), before He created the universe. I think we can agree upon that, yes?
That means God knows exactly who will be Saved and who will not. He makes it clear in His Word -- both in the old and the new testaments -- that the vast majority will follow "the broad path" to Hell.
He also makes it clear -- in both the old and new testaments -- that He will deceive people and trick them into believing lies, so they may end up in Hell. But wait: How does this correlate with unconditional love for all? Surely He wouldn't deceive in order to condemn people He loved! Would He not want to give them direction so they could be Saved?
Hmm. But it gets worse. Aside from God's intentional deceit of stupid people so they can be tortured for all eternity for being foolish enough to believe a lie that their Creator deludes them into believing, there's a bigger problem.
As we agreed above, God knew at the time He created the universe every single thing that would happen. This means God created the universe knowing that He would have to torture the vast majority of His creation for all eternity for not following His laws. It also means He knew He was laying out laws that were beyond the ability of His creation to follow. He doomed the vast majority of humans to eternal torture by His act of creating them.
What part of that suggests that God loves all people equally?
What is the point of this friend? Goth harlots squeezed into corsets like so much human sausage. Using support garments to thrust your oversized breasts into a man's face and smother out his reason may work with the unsaved but Jesus' hands will protect us TRUE Christian men from that kind of abuse.
Time to reclaim our FREEDOM from the “Mullah in Chief” and his growing activist voter hoards of socialists, communists, anti-Semites, anti-Christians, atheists, radical gays and lesbians, feminists, illegal immigrants, Muslims, anti-Anglo whites and others.

It's meant to be a site of artistic photographs by Viona (who's obviously the photographer). Not my fault if you have a problem with them.
Besides, if men are so easily tempted and are meant to be supposedly be superior, why did 'God' make them that way?

Well, Linda, you're making some sense here! Glad you kept your kids on a tight leash!
Now, if we could just get you to put spaces between your paragraphs, and write in full sentences . . .

So we would over look the obvious fallings of women (the nagging, fatty hips, that time of month) enough to lie with them to produce more Christian soldiers for Jesus. If it wasn’t for this physical compulsion we are under men would have no reason to be around women and spend their time with their fellow men (like they properly should)

It's not as fun though if you're only friends with people of the same gender. Can be quite eye-opening to hear opinions on things from both the male and female perspectives.
Also, there are other reasons to be around the opposite sex besides physical compulsion. Ever heard of the word 'love'?

The Lord only commands that we love him. If we have a wife and children, we are to keep them from harm. If they stray too much, there's stoning for our children, and other Godly such things to cover all problems.
"If thou buy an Hebrew servant, six years he shall serve: and in the seventh he shall go out free for nothing. . . . And if a man sell his daughter to be a maidservant, she shall not go out as the manservant's do." (Leviticus 21:6-7)
