Lev 26:29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
Cannibalism is imposed as a curse from God. So joking about seasoning your infant prior to consumption is not all that funny, and is mocking God.

I wonder if the Scriptural reference to salting might be talking about salting a baby boy's penis with saltwater after his circumcision.
It would have been considered an egregious oversight to the baby's comfort and healing if one neglected to do so.
