Re: Is it wrong to pay bums to fight?
Indeed it is..
Psalm 37:25 maybe?
I have been young, and now am old;
Yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
Psalm 37:25
What about Genesis 24:35?
And the LORD hath blessed my master greatly; And he is become great:
And he hath given him flocks, and herds, and silver, and gold, and menservants, and maidservants, and camels, and asses.
Genesis 24:35
Haggai 2:8?
The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.
Haggai 2:8
Is 1 Samuel 2:7 enough of an answer for you?
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
1 Samuel 2:7
Now.. God saves the poor from their troubles, and He loves when man considers the poor.
BUT - They (the poor) must accept Jesus Christ.
Without that, there is nothing we as men can do, for it is God who makes rich or poor.
Not us, we can't help someone unless they've accepted Jesus.
