Church: a place for public (especially Christian) worship
NOTE: it says especially Christian it does NOT say exclusively Christian

Dictionarys are written by man. The bible is written by God. You can quote anything you like from a dictionary but that does NOT make it right. The bible clearly states that a "chuch" is the house of God. And as such there are certain behaviours totally unacceptable in God's house!

1 Timothy 3:14-16 (King James Version)
14These things write I unto thee, hoping to come unto thee shortly:
15But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.
16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
        2 Chronicles 7:14
14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.

          Re: Pretty Good Day.

Another day of sobriety and clean living. Leroy offered me a snort of Everclear last night and, with trembling hands, I almost took it. But I was strong and returned to my cot and my bible.

Early this morning, I was reading Luke and found this:

Luke 18:22 - When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me."

I'm surely poor so I thought this must apply to me too. I printed this on cardboard and went back to the strip with an empty Folgers coffee can.

To make a long story short, I made almost 600 dollars by noon (would have been more but I had to bribe the Metro cops to let me stay on the strip at all). People would stop and read the sign around my neck and reach for their wallets. Apparently, it's scripture that can't be refuted, since Jesus said it. They are rich (at least for a while in Vegas), I'm poor, they want to be saved.... So they followed Christs teaching.

I'm sure my friends here have no problem with this? I'll keep panhandling until I have 50 thousand and then stop. I'll be able to keep it all as fifty grand in Vegas is by no means rich. I'll still be relatively poor and still get to see Jesus.

There is something to this Bible stuff after all!

I'm gonna see the Baptist Pastor in the morning to get my $100 ticket to next Sunday's services. I'm thinking I might invest a few hundred tonight at the Luxor to win big so I can give even more to Jesus....

Thanks for your prayers.... they are turning my life around.

A Church is a place to worship God, yes true, but which God is that?

See that is where you book falls down yet again The Church of The Flying Spaghetti Monster is on Earth to Worship God, a Living God, a specific God, The One True God.

The kjv1611 on the other hand, just uses the generic terms, or nicknames, such as God, Our Lord, The Lord God, nowhere does it say god is NOT The Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Brother, I am glad that you have found a way to get money by reminding people of the words of Jesus. But please, stay out of the gambling houses. I'm also thinking you may want to break off relations with this Leroy fellow since he's trying to get you back into sinning.

Do you have a family member that lives in a more Godly place that you can stay with? Perhaps you need to get away from "the strip", even the name is filthy.

Pastors, is it possible to check out this Baptist church?

Thank you Mrs. Believer. I am SO GLAD that you approve...It only makes sense that those with wealth give to the poor, namely me.

Leroy is almost always comatose and tonight is no different. I don't really need him anymore as I bought my own ASV bible tonight. Really like how Jesus' words stand out in bright red.

Sadly, I have no family anywhere to stay with. The last cousin I had in Phoenix passed after a twenty year battle with meth and incarceration.

I hate to say it, but I gotta go back on the strip tonight and invest for Jesus.

                Pray for my sucess...

Look, you are doing it all wrong. Firstly the KJV is the ONLY pure word of God.
                    So..
Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. is what you needed to quote; all other Bibles are watered down happy rainbow versions trying to manipulate the word of God.

                    It is clear you are still hated by God at the moment, as demonstrated through your need to panhandle;
                    Psalm 37:25
I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

But this could all change if you open your door to Jesus. Praise!
                    6
A woman came up to me the other day, 12/6/2016 and said:
"But Mr. Winner, if GOD loves everyone then why is there so much suffering in the world?"

Because GOD doesn't love everyone. Too many people have this absurd idea in their heads that GOD is all loving.
If he was all loving, then murderers, thieves and homosexuals would be waiting for you in Heaven.

GOD doesn't open his gate to just anyone. Being a True Christian™ is like a Queue Jump ticket at Disney, we are guaranteed a ride with JESUS.

Don't forget to tithe 10% from your gross income. So that includes 10% of what you had to pay the cops not just what you took home at the end of the day. You do not want to rob God of his entitlements.

31And if a man will at all redeem ought of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth part thereof.
32And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, even of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

Larry if you have 50 large, the approprate tithe is 5 grand, not $100. Why do you want to cheat Jesus? Do you want Jesus to save you or not?

I think he's confused because the Pastor asked for $100 last Sunday.

Perhaps it was the charge for their ALPHA program That's why I was asking a Pastor to check out this church and make sure it's a True Christian Baptist Church.

As for poor Larry here, he's not quite getting that it takes a little more to be a True Christian(TM) than to just go to church on Sunday. You have to turn over your entire life to Jesus.

                                Baby steps Sister B.I.G.

He has managed to quit alcohol for 2 days now.

And acknowledged his homerism. Boy, that took some effort!

He is seeking God - maybe not in the right place but he seems open to guidance.

He used a very appropriate biblical verse to raise funds towards his salvation.

And he keeps reporting in - even when he knows he stuffed up (by going to a non-Baptist church) etc.

Let's all pray that Larry doesn't drop dead overnight and end up in the fires of Hell. May God grant him the time he needs to really repent and be saved.

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land Australia.
