As always, you must look at the Bible in its entirety. There are about 100 mentions of the right side being good and 25 occasions about the left side being evil. I know, it is not about statistics but it is about the Big Picture. If I were you, I'd at least be careful and assume to path of least damage. There is absolutely no risk in choosing the right hand over the left one.
To compare this with other accepted sins, there are <10 occasions in the Bible about sodomy (i.e., homosexuality) and there is absolutely no reason to doubt them. Was it God who made these people (left-handed and sodomists) like that? We know that these characteristics are congenital, people are born with them. However, God's influence is only indirect, as the real culprits are the forefathers and mothers who sinned and it is this sin that is transmitted in various forms and congenital abnormalities (such as the ones I mentioned) to the offspring.
Deuteronomy 23:2
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
Exodus 20:5
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
The promise and temporary sacrifice of Jesus is the only way to cast off these congenital defects. Left-handedness and homosexuality are EASY, they are minor problems that can be be easily corrected with behavioral modifications. Left-handed people have it easy. It only takes practice! Thereafter they can accept Baptism and the conditional Love of Jesus and ultimately meet Him in the clouds (1 Thessalonians 4:17) on their way to Heaven!

- The right hand of the lord doeth valiantly, the right hand of the lord is exalted (Psalm 118 vv15,16)
- The left hand does worst in the parable of the sheep and goats. The sheep are set on Christ’s right hand and the goats on the left. Those on the right inherit the kingdom of god while those on the let depart into everlasting fire.
- The devil is nearly always portrayed as left-handed and evil spirits lurk over the left shoulder (which is why you throw spilled salt over your left shoulder to ward them off).

Logic will fail to do so, however, the Bible only succeeds. In fact, the logic of this world is poison to the Lord!
