It does say you must hate them, because Jesus hates them, and you must follow in His footsteps.
Read the following verses:

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Leviticus 20:13

That's how Jesus feels about the sin of homersexuality! But maybe you think "He loves the sinner but hates the sin"?

This is how Jesus, our LORD and GOD, feels about sinners:

He HATES them, and He DESTROYS them, Praise His holy name!
