Ezekiel 33:8-9: When I say unto the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

I am not saying that i think it is ok, and i will tell my son how i feel about it because i am an honest person and don't beleive in lieing but i will still love him.

In saying this do you mean that they have a right to beat them? I can not and will not beleive in a faith that thinks it is ok to beat and hurt anyone for whatever reason.

You see, God wrote a neat book called the Bible. (He used a bunch of people to write the words on parchment, but they were His words. Think of the scribes like secretaries, taking dictation from their bosses.)

Now, this God fellow, He created the universe, and everything in it. He also made lots of laws.

Humans, being one of His creations, are given two options: Follow the Laws (which includes following Jesus), or spend eternity in Hell being tortured for whatever minor sin they may have committed in an otherwise "nice" life.

Folks here have quoted many of God's Words, particularly about how women are subject to men.

You say that you don't like those words. You think we're bad people for saying those words. However, those are God's Words.

Is God bad? He DOES create both good AND evil. So God cannot be purely good, can He?

Many churches will tell you that parts of the Bible are outdated. They'll say some don't apply, and some are just "historical". Who has told them this?

If God, the all-powerful creator of the universe, wanted to change what a few million Bibles say to "move with the times", don't you think He could?

My dear, if you want to believe a religion that tells you what you want to hear, I suggest you set up a shrine and put a mirror on it. What you are trying to do is remake God in your own image.

I suggest you get yourself a bit better acquainted with the Bible. Fortunately for you, we have a series of delightful Bible quizzes (only 10 multiple-choice questions each, with detailed answers at the end!) available!

My son is a very caring 6 year old boy, he cares deeply for friends,his family and even strangers he has never met. He cries for those less fortunate than ourselves and to sad songs but he is also very tough he beleives in protecting those who can not protect themselves but will only fight if he has no other choice.I know in my heart he will grow to be a good man. As far as my ex being a good man goes,he was anything but. I don't see a good man being verably or physical abusive.Nor do i see him not helping pay the bills,or even helping out around the house when i'm out working as well, and while i was faithful to him he was out sleeping with other woman.

Honestly,i don't know but i can not walk into a faith or call myself christain if i don't beleive everything in the bible. My problem is with the bible more than it is with God, i'm having trouble beleiving that every thing written in it was and is true...that it was written by man,(i don't mean,men).

Kiki, these are people who follow every word of the Bible. You know that walking in the door. Why ask what they think of you?

Do you want to be insulted and made to feel bad about yourself? That's what Christianity is all about. All the Abrahamic religions are; they use guilt and fear to control you, instead of love and happiness to inspire you.

(Abrahamic religions are those which fall from Abraham. Judaism, Christianity, Catholicism, and Islam.)

All Abrahamic religions treat women as property. That's what their God tells them to do in their Bible (or Torah, or Koran). Some churches say different, but they aren't following the whole Bible like these people do.

They may sound crazy, but they're following what God really says.
