I am alittle confused here, the church i went to growing up taught that god was all knowing,powerful loving god,and the devil was an all hateing being but here on this site i have read over and over that god is a god of hate if this is true than would the devil be a being of love?

I have read some of the bible.I work a lot and raise my son myself,so i don't have alot of time to do other things. I do not have a husband, and before you ask my father lives in a different town with my step-mom. So i have no man to answer to. Like i said i'm just curious.
