So don't act so high and mighty, at least here they have to be of child bearing age. Of course California's law was probably changed so that mooslimbs can follow in the footsteps of their master and marry 9-year-olds.
oh really? my apologies. i was told otherwise. i still think its young. at 14 a girl is bearly going to high school. she would still be immature and not know how to handle a husbin, much less kids.

Surah 4:169 O people of the Book! do not exceed in your religion, nor say against God aught save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, is but the apostle of God ... say not "Trinity." Desist! it will be better for you. God is only one God, far be it for Him that He should beget a Son!

Let me understand here. YOU think that work outside the home is a good experience for women. Have you ever held down a full time job that drains you physically and emotionaly and then dragged your way home through rush hour traffic so you can cook real food for your children before helping them with homework and baths and getting them to bed?

Do you know how much time and effort it really takes to clean thoroughly and cook properly? Do you know how much time and emotional energy it takes to train a child from being a little pooping savage and preparing him or her for life out in the world where people have no obligation to like them or make things easy for them?

The majority of working women with families are exhausted. It's not some Sex and the City adventure.

And women who remain at home aren't always sitting around eating bon bons either.

They are the ones usually struggling to cook more quality meals from scratch because the basic ingredients are less expensive then prepared foods and there is only the one income for the family. They are often the ones drafted into school and church volunteer work because people often assume they have all sorts of "free" time.

As for learning the value of money, everyone knows the value of money.

Married people with children know its value better than a teenager pulling a few hours at a part time job who regards their entire paycheck as "disposable" income.

Now, in fairness I don't suggest that is where YOU are coming from.

Based on your earlier statement, however, one could infer that YOU implied that cooking and cleaning isn't work. I'm not the only one who took that meaning.

And there is study after study after report and report that women who earn adequate incomes are less likely to remain in marriages that they consider unhappy.

Money gives a woman the option to leave and live a different life. That is the value that they learn from earning it. I'm not going to say a word on whether that is a good thing or not. You work that out for yourself.

            Patronizingly Yours,

Well I have to say that history disagrees with you.

                Roman era 12-14
Middle ages women 14 men 20-35
During the plague women 16 men 24
                15th century women 15 men 30's

the article continues on with a bunch of garbage about why girls shouldn't marry. Anyway, as I said, I would start looking for a husband when she was 14, with the rarity of a Good Christian husband it would take a while. Not that I really have to worry about it since I don't have any girls and my oldest son is only nine.
PROOF: Atheists are too stupid to understand the Bible!

Proverbs 13:24(KJV): "He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes."

Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

you have to take this generation into consideration. the funny thing about history is that its over and done with. we are in the now and immaturity levels have risen in young adults.

Then the simple answer is to raise your daughters to be more mature. Immaturity is not only found in young adults these days. It seems that secular societies obsession with youth has made it acceptable to act like a child no matter what age you are.

children cant be contained forever. soon they will learn what society excepts and follow it. its sad, but true. and at 14, their is so much left to experience. how can you tie them down. life is to learn and get closer to god. personally, i would like to get married at 30 because i think i would be ready to have a spouse at that age and i would like to go into a committed relationship with wisdom of the world.

Sure, get married at 30, when your womb is nothing but a shriveled up prune of what it once was meant for. You do realize that, according to secular science, not having children is the #3 cause of breast cancer, using the birth control pill is #2 (family history being #1). So even the secular scientists that you put your faith in say you are wrong.

Anyway, what is there for her to learn? How to be a harlot? How is that going to make her closer to God? Mary herself would of been betrothed between the ages of 12 and 14 according to Jewish tradition. If the Bible wanted us all to wait to have children, why would he have had his son born of a young virgin?

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

If a girl is raised to be mature, she is not going to become immature just because she went outside.

Why else does she need time to "explore the world"? What else is she going to do with her time? Again, I don't have a daughter.

According to everything you've said, she was a lousy mother because she was 14. And it's PROPHET (another victim of secular education) unless you're making a profit off of Jesus.

God could of easily picked a 30 year old woman if that was his plan now couldn't he. If he wanted us to wait until 30 to have children, that's when we would become fertile. God wants women to have children at a young age, why else would womens fertility start dropping at the age of 25? All of this stuff about waiting to get pregnant is all propaganda put out there by big pharma so that you will then end up spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on fertility when you're in your 30's and desperate to have a baby.

First. let me say that I'm sorry about your mom. I'm sure that she appreciate everything that you do for her.

I also think that it's great that your work doesn't drain you. When I was younger I wasn't as often drained as I am now. Youthful stamina is a blessing; enjoy while you can.

I'm going to disagree with you again that only a person earning money knows how to value it. Hardworking homemakers understand the value of money because they know how far it will go to meet their families' needs. You mentioned that you are going to school and then wrote "you would be suprised" (sic).

Well, yes, I am surprised. Someone at your school should take you in hand and teach you how to write more effectively. It's not just a missing letter here or there or even the completely incomprehensible refusal of your entire generation to properly capitialize the first person singular pronoun
. . . Okay, now I'm ranting. But based on the above quote and the bulk of that below, you need to learn to puncuate. That, plus learning to capitialize correctly, will make your writing so much easier to understand.

There is so much in the paragraph above that is not Biblical. The "wisdom of the world" means nothing to God and it's not likely to be of value in a Christian marriage. And if you want to get closer to God, every True Christian here will tell you the same thing -- read the Bible.

Read it. Love it . Live it. ALL of it.

That means refraining from sexual activity until you are married. If you are content to wait until you are 30, I am impressed. If it means means submitting to a man completely after a years of deciding things for yourself-- again-- I am impressed. Of course, impressing me means nothing. I could be dead by the time you reach 30. But the word of our Lord endureth forever and, trust me, He is MUCH harder to impress.

p.s.I read some other posts of yours that came through after the ones I quoted before. Please, please, please learn to write. Your prose is killing me.
