O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

Oh, I'm sorry. I will also join in praying that the forced annexation proceeds smoothly, and that the developers instigating it reap their Godly profits.

Thank you for bringing this important issue to our attention!

It's all a question of protection. We've been guaranteeing Salvation for nigh on 400 years and we're not having some whipper-snapper come along and trade on our successes.

Hmm. Interesting, and thank-you for the link. So it's a member of the Landover Baptist Church, that makes sense... though I'm not sure that the word choice is really very appropriate. Can one be a Born again Christian, bound for Heaven, and yet not attend this forum or its church?

Also, how does a mortal guarantee salvation?

Can one learn to embroider samplers without guidance? May one become a carpenter without instruction? Theoretically it may be possible but why deny yourself the opportunity of the wisdom of Landover?

Also, how does a mortal guarantee salvation?
Romans 6:6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
Romans 6:7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 6:8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Then we look to the certainty that all impenitent people who disagree with our beliefs, and thus disagree with God, and will inevitably go to Hell (e.g., Romans 1:18-32, 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, 1 Timothy 1:8-11, Jude 7, etc.) If they all go to Hell, who is to reach Paradise?

We at Landover have thus followed the Words of God The Father and of Jesus and are filled with the Holy Spirit, and whereas I might say to you with all certainty, “This house guaranteed to last 200 years.” I cannot foresee that a large semi might not plow into it tomorrow. That is known only unto God, who keeps an eye on such things. For example you may harbor in your heart a desire for your neighbor's ox, all the time persuading Landover that you are pure. Such a sin would void the warranty.

Thus Landover’s guarantee is a money back guarantee rather than an absolute guarantee for that is in the Hands of God. There has never, in all our history, been a claim.

Amen, and amen! I live in an unincorporated area of NC called Libertydale. Lenoir is trying to annex us. If it goes through, our taxes will more than double and we'll get absolutely nothing in return, but you don't hear me whining about it like some kind of crybaby. I know that if the Lord brings me to it, the Lord will bring me through it. SHOUT GLORY!

God is almighty. Nothing in this world happens without His say-so. Friend, if your little neighborhood is annexed by Lexington, then it's His will. You need to stop whining and start counting your blessings. Let go, and let God.

                        Can I get an Amen?

The theology of Martin Luther was fairly instrumental in influencing the Protestant Reformation, specifically topics dealing with Justification by Faith, the relationship between the Law and the Gospel (also an instrumental component of Reformed theology), and various other theological ideas

As usual, it's very difficult to interpret your babbling. But I can tell you this much:

#1. Wikerpedia is not a reliable source of information. They let anyone who wants to come in and deface pages. Even Landover Baptists page has been soiled by heathen scum hellbent on destroying God's favorite church! THIS is what the original (TRUE) version of our entry looked like. We are engaged in legal action even now to straighten this situation out.

#2. Your pal Luther was a false Christian, but he had the right idea about joos and their lies. Take a look at THIS!
