Who other than hippies and commies are "taking care" of the planet? And don't say Al Gore, he's just bilked your type for every dollar you'll give him. I mean he flies around in a private jet and runs more electricity in one month than I could possibly use in a lifetime.

Anyone who cares is taking care of the planet. Limiting such a thing to "hippies" and "commies" is simply bigotry.

One example of many people/associations that are taking care of the planet would be the United Nations with the United Nations Environment Programme(UNEP).

I thought i was pretty clear on what it is for. Earth Day is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment.

You just don't get it, friend. If the earth is in some kind of a danger, then that is God's will and we should not interfere with His plans.

If you want to "save the earth" so badly then do as you please, but you must be ready to accept your penalty for disobeying His words. You will roast in hell whether you like it or not.

Is looking after the Earth directly disobeying what you say/think the word of God is?

And are you simply willing to take the chance that said God exists/cares about us and will you willingly risk the planet that we live on based on that premise?

The United Nations is not a world government. It is is an international organisation whose stated aims are facilitating cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress, human rights, and the achieving of world peace. It certainly is not a sign of the end of times, the founding of the United Nations after WW2 was the hopeful start of something better.

You are getting a bit off track here but, I suppose i can't exactly go by this taking chances concept. I would have to go by evidence and reasoning concerning the existence of God, not the chance that I will/will not damn my eternal "soul".

Of course the Bible is not enough evidence, it certainly isn't historical documentation. It is a religious doctrine, just the same as the Hindu Vedas and the Qur’an of Islam and many other holy books.

Young lady, unlike the Hindoo Vedas, the Koran and other false doctrines, the Holy Bible is an accurate testimony of God's existence.

I get it now. Since it really isn't up to anyone to prove that something doesn't exist, we don't have to prove that evolution and a self-creating universe don't exist; you have to prove that they do.

The same could be said for any of the other holy books. And that therein lies the problem.

And even if there was only one holy book, it still wouldn't mean anything since it doesn't neccessarily mean it is true either. It could simply be a lie, a work of fiction. Made up!
