I think you are on the right track here, Brother Worthington. The LBC marriage counselors are having some success with a role playing technique where the women are leashed and instructed to bark like a dog. It seems to put them in touch with primal urges to learn their proper place in a hierarchy.

When GOD repeats the exact same statement in Ephesians 5:22 and Colossians 3:18, you know He means it!

The feminist bra burners have been promoting this idea of "partnership" and "democracy" in marriage. There is no such thing as a true partnership or democracy when you have just two people, as there is no "majority" to resolve disagreements or disputes. Now, Brothers in Christ, I do have a question about a woman's proper place.

You all know about Rosa. For anyone not up to speed, she's 27 years old, 5'11, with an athletic-yet-robust build, thighs that can crack walnuts, and long, lustrous dark hair. I hired her several years ago because she could speak Spanish as well as excellent English, and fit all my other requirements for an appropriate assistant.

Rosa has eventually become head of staff in my household. I have a rather large staff, and Rosa has demonstrated her abilities to handle it admirably. Why, every day I awake, breathless with anticipation, eager to see what Rosa will come up with!

Now, I would not expect Rosa to do kitchen work, as this would damage her manicure. She's the first person visitors are greeted by, and what sort of image for me would that be? Dishpan hands? No, indeed!

So my question, then, is whether it is not appropriate for a True Christian man to have a wife or other head of household whose role, while subservient to the man, is to operate the household under his authority?

Rosa does direct men -- gardeners, the pool boy, the carpenter, and the like -- but does so only under my authority. I feel that this is perfectly appropriate, but wanted to be sure I wasn't missing anything.

I do so love how masterfully Rosa handles my staff from day to day! She's really my right-hand woman.

No, that's why there has to be open communication between spouses, so that they can come to an agreement that both can be satisfied with, and that does not involve one of them eating off the floor. A man with an attitude of "Do this because I said so" will drive a woman off far more quickly than one who says, "I would like for you to do this, and here's why." and then listens with an open mind to his wife's response.

Does it not count that in my heart I felt like I was married? I know common law marriage is not recognized in IL but I was faithful for the 5 1/2 years we were together.
