  • Where in the KJV 1611 Bible does it say ...

that sex with your wife (or concubine) is not supposed to be fun?

Ge:1:28: And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Ge:9:1: And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
Ge:9:7: And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein.
Ge:17:6: And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee.

You will note that there is nothing - absolutely nothing - to say you shall do "it" for any other reason whatsoever.

Indeed, the Lord is not praised by wallowing in lust, but only in pure matrimonial coming together" that surpasseth all understanding and which produces little soldiers for Jesus.

Of course, we must be fruitful and multiply, but these relevant verses do not neccessarily preclude enjoying being fruitful. Of course, childbearing mustn't be fun per Genesis and being fruitful and multiplying precludes the use of birth control, (including abortions for "rape" victims). However, these verses do not indicate that being fruitful is not fun.

Specifically, the 1 Corinthians 7 says that a husband and wife should not be abstain from sex unless it be to fast and pray.

4The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

5Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

It may feel good while you're doing it (GOD forbid that is the case with any True Christian), but you'll notice that afterwards it's nothing but agony and pain for the woman over the next nine months. This is GOD's trademark of letting us do what we please with our free will and then standing back to let us suffer the horrible consequences He set up for us.

If we go back a few verses, we see this:

1 Cor. 7:1-2: Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: [It is] good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, [to avoid] fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.

          And a bit further down:

1 Cor. 7:7-9: For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.

In other words, marital intimacies are second-rank. Of course, we must not read "not to touch a woman" as the Romanists do and touch altar boys instead.
This church is dedicated to preaching True Christianity™ and the King James Bible exactly as they are, with no alterations to make them more politically correct for modern liberals. If you think that we've misquoted or twisted Scripture or quoted any verse out of context, please explain in detail how we've done so. Otherwise, if what you read on this site offends you, then you're offended by Almighty God and His Word, not by us.
