It's both!!!! It has been statistically proven that men who rape have problems with authority and want to be in control, it has also been proven that they suffer from sexual preversions and rape in order to fill some type of power play fantasy.

Did you investigate this yourself by raping many woman or are you just copying the opinion of others? Men who "rape" have only one problem! Women nearby who behave like whores! I assure you in an environment where there are no such woman, there will be no rape!

I think a good question to ask here would be what do you have instead of brains? Air? For that is what it seems, I must say.

How can you say, or even think, that women are to blamed when they are raped, that is just plain stupid.

All I have seen on this forum are words of hatred, coming from people who are supposed to love everyone. Did Jesus not say that you had to LOVE? Maybe I am not correct, for I really do not know a lot of this, but I sure do not pretend to know it.

By the way, I read in another post that god hates every sinner, but how is this possible? I am certain you deem true the proposal "god is perfect". If God is perfect, he cannot sin, and if he cannot sin, how can he hate? Is hate not a sin? Of course, once again, I may be mistaken, but I would truly like you to enlighten me. I would really like to debate with all of you, and try to understand the way you think, which right now seems almost irrational and immature.

There is no excuse for rape. I do agree that women should dress modestly and cover themselves properly. But claiming that it is a girl's fault if she gets raped is absolutely deplorable! If everyone acted on every small temptation that they felt, oh my, this world would be even WORSE than it already is!

It's about time that slutty sirens are made fully aware of their powerful lure to young men. When Jesus sat down and wrote the Bible, he warned against sluts participating in society. If only they would heed Jesus' words, they would be much better off.

It's so true what you said. We must make a concerted effort to try and teach these whores (which is really what it comes down to) the path of Jesus. We were taught in the Bible that Mary Magdalene was a common whore before Jesus shined his mercy and forgiveness upon her. I'll support this effort to educate any day.

So the fact that a man raped her has no bearing on the matter? If men were taught to actually see women as people instead of objects of sexual desire, I can see THAT reducing the number of rapes. But as long as a man looks at a woman and thinks, 'ooh, short skirt, get a load of those legs, and her tits are amazing too, what a whore dressing like that but sh*t that's hot' rapes will be committed. Women aren't just spontaneously raped. It's not like a sickness they catch. Women are raped when men have sex with them AGAINST THEIR WILL. So perhaps if the guys cut that out, the whole problem would solve itself.

And here we are at the core of the problem. When a woman wants sex, she starts behaving like a slut to get it. However once she succeeds in seducing a man women often change their mind when they shamefully realize that what they are doing is very wrong. Excuse me. I have been through that before. Let me explain to you what a "slut" I dress like.

Even in the hot months of the summer, I wear long, slightly loose fit pants that are fastened tightly at my waist with a belt of some sort. I also tend to wear long sleeved shirts that I've altered so that the bottom of the shirt falls at about my hips, so there is no exposed skin at my midriff. I do nothing to the collar so that my chest is nicely hidden from anyone that might look, and I hope that they wouldn't be to begin with.

Hm. Yes. I'm showing a horrible amount of skin. I deserve to be raped.

And one more thing - The last time (Oh, and the highest amount, too) I drank anything with alcohol in it WAS AT COMMUNION. So yes. I'm a horrible alcoholic, too, so let me go pass out at a keg party - At my mother's church.

I agree with Patupaiarehe - if men were taught to see women as human beings and not symbols of sex, and objects of desire, then perhaps the numbers would go down.
