Re: Fallout 3: Another Satanic, Violent game from "Oblivion" crea
Hello, Reverend, I would like to point out a couple inaccuracies in your post. I apologize for quoting this post from a while ago, but I have only recently been shown this site.
You said that Bethesda quoted Revelations 21:6 out of context - not true. They did not turn this into anything about water purification. The passage is blatantly stated near the beginning of the game to be the favorite Bible passage of the mother of your in-game character, not anything to do with the water purification in the game. The only connection it has is that near the end of the game's main storyline you must input the numbers 216 to activate a water purification system. Those particular numbers were chosen as the password because your character's father created this water purification device; he merely wanted to memorialize the player character's mother, who died giving birth to the player character at the beginning of the game.
You also say that Catholics worship Mary - this is also not true. They merely acknowledge here as the mother of Jesus Christ, our savior.
I do not wish to disrespect you, Reverend, but those were a couple inaccuracies that were bugging me as I read through this thread.
