An. Seriously. I’ve now read 14 pages of this, and I honestly have to say: I’m sick and tired of this whole conversation. You’ve gone too far with this. And yes, YOU. This isn’t their fault. YOU came on to THEIR forum and picked up this fight. You’re trolling, y’know that? And no, it’s not funny. Because you’re treating this like a serious argument. And you shouldn’t. And you might say that people only believe out of fear, but wouldn’t it take a lot of strength too? Being able to believe in something, without actually seeing it?

And another thing which bothers me, is your general sickening attitude against these people. Seriously. Laughing at what they’re saying and basically poking fun at their god. Do you call that respect? You know, of all the people in the world (apart from your own kind), Christians are actually the ones you have the most in common with. I mean, here I am, 3654 kilometres away from home, and I can still find a bond with the boy next to me on my school bus, because he believes in the Christian god. He celebrates what I celebrate. Christmas, Easter etc. etc. etc. Our culture was built up by Christians. You’d think you’d see some fragment of acknowledgement for that through here, huh?
Now, I’m not Christian. I don’t like to call my self atheist either. I prefer non-believer. Because the problem with atheism is that some people start treating it like a religion. It’s not. It’s the lack there of. Some people use atheism as an excuse to hate on the religious people of the world (which is actually the dominating part), and they’re the kind of people who make me embarrassed to be atheist. People like the kind of person you’re being right now, An. And yeah, religion might have led to a lot of awful things through time. War, murder, rape – all in the name of their god. But it has also led to wonderful things. Magnificent pieces of art, music, literature. And not to mention: The Holy Bible. Probably the most amazing piece of writing there ever was. Now, you can choose to ignore all of this. Or you can listen, and back out. Because this has gone too far. And now, just to finish of, I’m going to post my favorite, and probably the most cliché, part of the Bible:

1 If I speak in the tongues[a] of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast,[b] but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Well. I still manage to see their side, even if I poke fun at them, don't I?
They don't. They're not even open to people not believing. I can't do much, but try to make them see, make them more open. I'm not asking for them to leave their religion. I think religion can be a wonderful thing most of the time, but there is a line that you ought not to cross. My intention is to make them accept that there are non-believers here too and that they care just as much about God as they do themselves, just not in the same way. I just wish, for a moment, that they'd realize that God is not the only way out.
