I normally would not post anything on a message board, but this struck a cord with me.

I grew up with a very religious family and have always gone to church on a regular basis. Growing up, we were always told that the only ghost was the Holy Ghost and we were not to believe otherwise. I knew this was not a fact at all, as I had experienced many paranormal events, but I did not want to disagree with my elders or the church.

I am now an adult and a few years ago I started investigating the paranormal. To say that ghost hunters promote witchcraft is just crazy. It is my faith that drives me, not devil worship or witchery. That is just insulting on so many levels.

I live in Jerry Falwell country, so I was surprised to find that many other religious people believe in ghosts, but it seems all of them have had some sort of experience that forced them to believe. Maybe that's what it takes.

I have to ask you. What does the Bible say about consorting with familiar spirits and divination?

What you believe to be "ghosts", the remains of dead people, are demons impersonating the dead people.

You, Reverend whatever your face, are the kind of Christian that put us all to shame. I believe in God; I believe in Heaven and Hell. But I do believe in ghosts. Not every single thing ghost hunters talk to are demons!
You're trying to say that anything that doesn't follow your rules EXACTLY is bad. If I'm wrong, please, correct me.
I watch the majority of those shows. I believe in the paranormal, for I have seen and heard many a ghost (notice how I said ghost; not demon). My mom tried to raise me in a very religious household, but she didn't. I'm religious, but not so religious that I've been brainwashed.
The three from Ghost Adventures are not gay. You are being judgmental and, quite frankly, being a bigot. I recall God saying that he will accept you for who you are; take you as you come, yet here you go about all over the site saying gays are bad and goths are bad.

Creepy clown man, what's wrong with goth girls? I wear odd jewelry and wear dark clothing; am I bad and rebellious child? Because, if I am, you really need to tell me.

I honestly don't get how Christians can say "we won't judge you" then we go and do so.
And how do you know all witches are bad? Wiccans are bad; they serve the Earth. Is the Earth bad? Hm?
I, personally, know quite a few Wiccans.

My church (Church on the Hill; Church of the Nazarene [where we accept people for who they are]) doesn't believe in those sort of bigotry and judging.
Please, research properly before posting this.

If I, a 17-year-old, know better than you all, old creepy men, then you all fail.

If ghost are real then the idea of heaven as well as hell loses it's meaning and purpose. So of course christians are going to say ghost don't exist. I however know they do, I have had to many encounters not to believe in them. And my encounters involve more than one person present at the time of occurance.

As far as witchcraft. Some say it didn't start until the 50's. Well then why is it refered to centuries before, a rediscovery in the 50's is more like it. Unfortuneatly in general description of witchcraft can also mean prayer, especially since the foundation of pray is receiving something through ritual, chant, or though multiple people. Prophesy, predicting the future, also considered as witchcraft but somehow become valid in Christianity.

Putting a new name on pagan ritual or act and calling it a christian ritual doesn't make it any more just or true. Just makes you a hypocrite.

I hate to be the one to break to you, but the Bible itself....is paranormal. Beyond that which is considered "normal".

Also, if you want to come across as having any intellect when discussing something, learn the correct terminology, procedure and refrain from slinging insults. Maybe if you read something OTHER than your Bible every now and then, you would have some knowledge to back up the ridiculous concepts you are throwing out there. (EVP detector...indeed.)

Paranormal Investigators do not go about contacting "demons" and they, in no way, use witchcraft. They use.....SCIENCE. I know that's a big, scary word for you Bible thumpers....but try to embrace it. It's reality. (But you can still dream about your fairy tales as well.)

And I fail to see how accusing 3 grown men of being gay in any way relates to your topic of Ghost Hunting? Is it that you can't get through one topic without more mud-slinging and hate-mongering? That's all religion has become now-a-days, largely due to people like yourself. You don't "love thy brother"....not if he is in any way different that the short-sighted person you've become.

Oh yes, Jesus is part of the occult. Like some old guy with a funny beard waved his hands and things happened like in Harry Potter. Our faith is based on Christian SCIENCE founded on Biblical FACT. There is nothing hocus pocus here.

It makes me so sick to my stomach to see people claiming to be christian, who use that as an excuse to be nasty, rude, hateful people. So many of your comments are disgusting. You attack good people, because you can only make yourself feel good by putting down others. This doesn't sound like "good christian values" to me, it just sounds like pure HATE.
