Re: Minecraft: Makes children sex slaves and destroys our economy!
Let me say this. I am a Christian of the Methodist denomination, who regularly attends Church, Youth group, and various other Church functions, such as mission trips.
Just in case you didn't know, the Bible was written by over 40 people, over a period of over 1500 years. These people wrote it in 3 languages, Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek, on 3 different continents, Asia, Africa, and Europe. (Source ) Some view may have varied slightly, but all retained a central storyline.
Why is everyone dead set against Minecraft? It's a harmless game. It was created for the purpose of entertaining young people anywhere from elementary to high school age. Notch himself said he was an atheist, so why would he care about Christianity? He has no reason to mock God, or promote Satan's agenda. (By the way, Notch is in fact the creator of Minecraft, in case you guys haven't figured that out yet: Source) In case you don't know, pedophiles are everywhere. Not just in video games. Video games, online chat rooms, and other methods over the internet are simply convenient and easy to find younger kids. I'm sure there are plenty of pedophiles driving by your kid's schools. Minecraft is not the only place for pedophiles.
Also, why is everyone hateful against atheists? Before you flip out and post 82,476 verses on why atheism is bad, let me explain myself. Again, I am a Christian. It is their choice to not believe. God has called us to love everyone.
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another." - John 13:34
Even if their views differ from yours, you still need to treat them with respect, and love them.
I read the first few pages of this thread, and I noticed a couple atheists with accounts, trying to argue their point, and the only replies I saw called these people "stupid", "retarted", or "ignorant". Again, God has called us to Love.
I mean this last bit in the most respect possible, but a lot of you need to get your heads out of the sand. Whether you like it or not, people have different views than yours, and all you can do is attack them for trying to present a different idea. The only way to know if your faith is strong is if it is tested by others.
I hope you guys and girls have a wonderful day, and God Bless!
