The bible is not solid proof. People wrote it, saying God told them to do so and what to say. For all we know, they could've been crazy. It was also translated, so it could've been translated wrong, or both. I would like some solid, science backed evidence of a God.

Sorry, did God speak to you directly? Do you live under a rock completely terrified of modern science? The bible is not solid proof. People wrote it, saying God told them to do so and what to say. This is typical of a young person: the Bible(KJV1611) is the evidence: how else can we know anything about the past unless it is written down?

Unless you think the WW1 was make believe because there is no one around with first hand experience?

Your preconceived over valued idea that Jesus never existed is called motivated reasoning: the evidence is there you just refuse to take responsibility for your own learning. Sad.

@various recent - the evidence has already been posted. God does the healing, not doctors. In the game an anti-God approach to health is insinuated.

hi all

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES



as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

hope this helps parents out so your child doesn't stray far from god!

And here is where we run into a paradigm problem, because the Bible tells us that logic and science are not as reliable as the True Word of God:

1 Corinthians 3:18-20
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.
20 And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

As you can see, the Bible tells me that I need to avoid wisdom of this world (that is, empirical knowledge, that is, logic and science), and rather be seen as an illogical fool. So that's what I do, because I prefer to be seen as in illogical fool in this life, than fall into the trap of empiricism and be seen as a fool by God Himself.
