Okay, let's get this straight. I'm an Atheist, I love Obama, and I play Team Fortress 2. So sue me. It is one of the most widely recognizable games available on the PC, and I believe you're f**king crazy.

"Homosexuality"? Seriously? "I love this doctor" is much applied in the same way as "I love these cookies". It's not meant in a fondling your genitals kind of way, it's meant in a "You're awesome for saving my life" kind of way.

If you think "Get behind me, Doctor!" is in any way homosexual, it's simply your own dirty mind thinking that and you should seriously reconsider your "christianity". If you've played the game for more than 10 seconds you'd know that medics literally FOLLOW you into battle using a beam-ray type healing gun. What's the safest way to do that? GETTING BEHIND THEM.

The artwork is just a little basic portrait of all the playable classes. There is nothing offensive in that, not even remotely. All the characters in this game have their own personalities, none of which could be seen as offensive besides maybe the spy.

The soldier remarks are not offensive. If you see that as offensive, go to boot camp. Most of his lines are highly bootcamp-esque.

This is a joke. If the OP actually took time to read up on the Team Fortress 2 at ALL, they'd know the following:

1. The game does not reference homosexuality at ALL.

2. Almost all of the modes of play encourage cooperation between you and the members of your own team. Many player classes have a use outside of just maiming, crippling, blasting, or blowing up opponents. For example, the Engineer can build health stations for friends to bring them to full strength, or teleporters to aid his team in moving around the map faster.

3. The Soldier is, obviously, not of sound mind. Ever since his multiple failed attempts to enter the service, he went crazy not being able to accept that he could not aid his country in World War 2. After buying his own plane ticket to Europe, he went on a Nazi killing spree until he was told the war was over years later. Due to his blood-stained and overall dark record of service overseas, it can be assumed that the Soldier went even more insane during his (multiple) tours of duty.

4. The supposedly "interracial" relationship between the Soldier and the Demoman is entirely unfounded. It's even stated in some of the comics the TF2 developers put out that the Red team's Demoman and the Blue team's Soldier were simply FRIENDS (but, y'know, being around someone's always considered making a pass at them to you people...)

5. The two biggest non-gameplay mechanics in Team Fortress 2, the customization and in-game economy, promote creativity and thinking. The more items a player collects over time by playing, the more possibilities exist in the way of using those items together for an advantage (i.e. supporting your team or gaining an advantage over the enemy team). Now, before a reply is posted about how long it'd take to accumulate items, note that a system was implemented in-game to limit the amount of 'item drops' each week to a player. This 'drop cap' essentially tells the game to give the player a certain amount of items each week, and no more or less. This means that your child would not/does not have to spend DAYS on end playing Team Fortress 2 simply for the weapons and hats.

It is unbelievable how stupid you people are. I mean seriously. "If someone is different and we do not like them, then we shall say GOD SHALL SEND THEM TO HELL BECAUSE WE WANT HIM TO!" My family raised me to look at the world and choose my own path, with some small guidance's, they said "We will not choose your religion for you, but let you find it for yourself" so immediately I looked towards Christianity. I looked, but what I found was a group of people who hate everyone different, who are not completely educated, and if anything looks even remotely "UnChristian" immediately banning it. My goodness, you're all right! I just happened to come across your thread and I HAD to share my thought with you all. My brother plays this game almost ALL the time and its absolutely horrible. He always tells about the new updates and how 'amazing' their guns in the game are, it disgusts me. The volume is always blaring from the computer (and my parents are rarely home since they work very hard) and there's nothing I can even do about it. And in the game its obvious they're all gay for each other, Americans aren't like that. If they were real, they'd burn in hell big time.

Valve is gaming company that has created games such as the half-life series, portal and Team fortress 2. Valve is a very satanic company and there company logo makes it even worse. my recommendation is to force kids to stick to games like mario. something more user-friendly

As a big fan of TF2, as you can see by my name, I'm here to clear up a few misunderstandings. When the Heavy (The bald one) says "I love this doctor!" he is saying he loves him as a friend or a brother, not as a sexual attraction, and when he says "Get behind me doctor," he is telling the Medic (The "Prostate examinator") to walk behind him and heal him using his medigun, also in turn being a shield for the medic. The Pyro (The one in the "slave suit" if you will) is simply dressed like that for fire resistance, one of his well known advantages. The Engineer (The Construction worker) is a defensive type class that uses his buildings to help fend off the enemy team, the Spy (Gimp mask) is well, a spy, so he needs the mask to hide his true identity, The Heavy (The Bear) is a bigger class because he is using a mini gun, the sniper (Cowboy) is an Australian man who wears that outfit because it is better for the warmer temperatures where he comes from, the Demoman (Biker) may be a drunkard, but that is better body armor for the chaotic war situations he is in, and finally, the Medic, who simply heals his teammates and is the most useful class in-game, gets too much hate for just the way he acts
