Firstly, it's like that because the symbols included are popular among gamers and users of the internet whereas a cross is slightly generic, secondly there is a cross in there somewhere, loads of gamers use it on x-box live, finally, if you hate the concept of virtual violence why would you want your religions symbol associated with it unless you're confessing your religion actually preachers aggression and hate?

Our religion is Christianity – it is only different from many varieties of Christianity in that it accepts the Whole of The Bible – nothing added, nothing taken away. God is constant throughout the Bible – Old Testament or New – the same Indivisible Trinity is the guiding light. Why should we take any less – it would be like playing an ungodly game with half the features disabled and half of them written by some idiot.

Is God Aggressive? No, not really, when He orders the slaughter of all of the Midianites, the dashing of their children upon rocks and the ripping open of the wombs of pregnant women, is He aggressive? No, He is Wise and Merciful. He knows that the Midianites are trouble-makers, and worship false gods.

Now, think what would happen if you designed a game and suddenly the characters in the game started crashing and generally fouling up. Obviously you would re-write the code, thus destroying your earlier work. Is that aggression? I think not – as Creator, you are free to do this without people moaning because you know that the world will be better for it. It’s not hate either, is it?

Alright you wackos, first off, no one can be forced to play a game, unless they held a gun to your head. Second, just because of some symbols, doesnt mean a game is trying to recruit anybody. The game Halo, as well as all video games, are designed as entertainment. By the sounds of things, you people haven't even played through any of these games you call evil. They are nothing but entertainment, and even some, such as Civilizations, are used as teaching tools in high school history classes.

The main force is the Covenant; they are led by the Prophets of Mercy, Truth, and Regret; they seek the Ark, which is designed to protect against the coming of the Flood; one main character dies because of the failures of his people, then rises again as the savior; and there is even a creature that tries to get the good guys to not kill the Flood, which could be described as Satan.

Now, process that, and tell me how Halo could be trying to recruit Muslims and Pagans.

And the point i think our friend toadspawn was trying to make was thus: The game has biblical references throughout.

Just because these people wish to speak out upon what you say, does that mean they are wrong? Aren't subjects about entertainment and the like not merely based on opinion?

And just because a game was designed a certain way does not mean they were trying to teach anything... Halo alone has a rating for adults and children of 17 or older. Children should not be playing it in the first place, and if parents did not want their children doing so, why buy it for them?
