Oh boy, fashionably late to the party, as usual... I'll just leave this here and be on my way.

I love animals. I've had fourteen of them in my life so far, and I feel truly blessed that seven of them are still with me. My pets give me peace in times of turmoil. If my pet needs food or medicine, I would gladly offer what I have to make sure they are comfortable.
Humans are beautiful creatures, capable of so much good in the world. It saddens me to see that some people are incapable of taking care of themselves through normal means and must stoop to deceit and violence to get what they want.
Nature is glorious, a representation of the cycle of life. In the winter, cold and darkness spreads across the land, killing all but the hardiest of flora and fauna, to be reborn and rejuvenated in the spring as warmth and light provide new energy.
I firmly believe that these are the three constants in the world - they will exist in harmony and balance each other for many thousands of years to come.



That being said.

Jesus Christ is supposed to be God reborn, right? If your God created the universe, then how did he die if he has unlimited power? There's a paradox in there somewhere.
The choice of words I've seen in this forum seem to have been hand-picked to portray the most negative version possible. OP specifically names an animal partner, which automatically implies sexuality. In nearly all games, having an animal companion provides a boost, whether it be giving you a barrier, allowing you to run faster to avoid encounters, or scouting areas so you don't walk into a trap. A great deal of roleplaying games include magic classes - you could easily say that the "spells" that they buy are representations of years of practice and devotion to a higher power that allows them to channel their faith in various forms, instead of black magic, devilry, or what have you.

If and when Judgment does come, how will the non-believers be struck down? Will it be a rain of holy arrows from on high? Will it be a ray of divine light that destroys us? Will Jesus himself come down and beat the crap out of anyone who doesn't believe in him? Or will he carry the ones who do believe to a higher plane? Those are the four main classes in any roleplaying game - archer, mage, fighter and healer. It all depends on your point of view, and being pessimistic is just too easy.

I'm sorry if I'm not seeing the connection between video games and Satanism. I don't play Diablo, nor the game that OP describes (which is definitely not Diablo), but if using the Shaman and Cleric classes (in a game called Eden Eternal) to protect and heal my friends is somehow a bad thing, then my job as a vet tech to help heal animals and medical training to perform emergency first aid must mean nothing and I surely have a seat reserved for me in whatever fiery abyss I'm going to.

On the note of "banning" Diablo - This is a free country, you are free to say what you want and believe what you will. You simply can't use your words or your beliefs to limit the freedom of others.

Regarding my knowledge of the Bible, Mister Hutchins, you'd be right to say I don't know as much as I'd like, only what I've heard in passing, and that has been... confusing. I've heard that the non-believers will sink through the earth's surface and drop straight to Hell, the divine light/intervention idea, and even that we will be drowned somehow. The idea of stones is a new one though. Please enlighten me?

If you want to know what the Bible says, I strongly recommend reading it for yourself.

Had you read Revelation 20-22, you'd know that sinners and nonbelievers will be resurrected from the dead into immortal bodies, then cast into God's Lake of Fire to be burned alive forever.

Animals are for hunting and eating. There is nothing finer (other than praising God of course) than hunting with just a Bowie knife. To leap upon your quarry, be it a bear, wild boar of even a domesticated Golden Retriever and feel the razor sharp blade split the spine, severing the nerves to the extremities. The ensuing blood curdling howl the animal lets out as you withdraw your blade, the gaping opening in its flesh letting the steaming sweet blood of the beast out following by a final plunge into its throbbing heart, the knife pulsing in your hand with the final beats.
