I would do no such thing. I care for my pets as I would care for my fellow humans. They are individuals just like us and deserve the same respect. If I, someone I know, or my pets are being threatened, then I can use what I have been taught to defend myself and them. It's preferable if the attacker on their own, but I will incapacitate them and have them removed safely if it comes to that.

If you want to know what the Bible says, I strongly recommend reading it for yourself.

Independent study isn't my thing, it bores me to tears. Working with others has always brought better results for me, so I might stick around and see what I can learn from here. That is, if you don't mind talking to a heretic.

No it isn't. The rampant use and propagation of misinformation is the reason that my Christian faith is challenged regularly. I'm not sure what game that is that you are speaking of, but it certainly is NOT Diablo 3. I have indeed played the entire game several times, and there are NO pornographic images, NO profanity, and nothing that could be considered anti-Christian. The storyline is that you are taking up arms to slay demons, slay cursed and wretched unholy beings, and eventually, seek out and destroy the ultimate evil that works to corrupt all of humanity and the heavens. Put that into perspective, and this is EXACTLY what we would want to happen if Satan were to rise to power on Earth. Do your research, and don't be so quick to judge based on one persons misinformed rantings.

Since your post was more reasonable than most of the extremist jargon posted here so far, I'll entertain this response. I was simply trying to point out the misinformation that the OP was ranting about. However, since you have opened this part of the debate, allow me to point out that all things in the game are taking place in an alternate world, with fictional characters, fictional locales, and fictional events. It is simply a product of several people's imagination.

Now, I respect your argument that the thought of Satan having the ability to attempt a takeover of the streets of gold can be seen as anti-Christian, there is still much we don't know or understand (and rightfully so never shall) about Heaven, God, and Satan. We only know what we have read in the bible, but to believe that there isn't more to the story than what is contained in that bible is not only foolish, but destructive in the long run. This is where I have a problem with fundamentalists. We need to understand that the simple act of the creation of the universe (by whatever theoretical method you choose to believe) was enough to prove that anything was possible. I challenge any fellow Christian to open up his or her mind to something other than what is written in the bible. Our faith did not stop once scripture was no longer being written, but it continued to evolve and progress even though most of it wasn't recorded. That alone should demonstrate that we don't know the full extent of God's wisdom and should humble us enough to open our minds to possibility.

That's the secularist argument you just cited here friend.

The relationship between God and Satan is not hazy in the slightest, at no point is Satan even depicted as even the lest interested in taking over from God. Just Satan challenges the faith of humans. Any time God is invoked Satan backs off, hardly the sign of a rebel. All these talk of Satan the anti-God is from extra-Biblical sources like Milton. If we are to entertain your argument then it says God is lying to us in The Bible. Do you really want to do that?

Were do you get that in The Bible? I recall this thing called The Book of Job were Satan is in Heaven talking to God and basically makes a bet that Satan can turn the most faithful man alive from God.

A game such is this is merely a form of interactive story telling to my eyes. Having played the game I can sincerely tell you that there is no sodomy, lewd behaviour, zoophilia or any such negative sentiments as have been put forward in this thread. There is however violence.

Instead the game tells the story of a hero, one of your choosing, either male or female. They are forces against the darkness, not for. Their role is to vanquish the evil in their world, not support it. Yes, the game does not support a religion, but nor does it defy any. It is a neutral story. A game anyone could play.

In my personal opinion this thread has been blown far out of proportion. There is dark and gothic symbology in the game, however they are only ever seen in light of the enemies featured in play. However, I wish to maintain that the game purely tells the story of a character of NEUTRAL good standing. The overall sentiment of the game is that good always triumphs over the bad, and therefore I can not see how you justifiably call the game evil.

I will not ask that you play the game to experience it yourself, some do not enjoy games, some do not have the patience for it. Others may only see the negative connotations without seeing the grander positive ones. The game is a form of fiction that does not SUPPORT Satan. It supports the belief in a great evil that is embodied in a single form, similar unto Satan, but pits you against him - and in the ending of the game he is vanquished, cleansing the world of evil and ushering in an age of light.


You may feel that video games are evil, or a waste of time, but there is no doubt to me that the sentiment of this game is that Good triumphs over Evil.

You need to pay attention to what we are saying here; God clearly states in The Bible, Isaiah 45:7, He created evil.

I make peace and create calamity;
I, the Lord, do all these things.’

To go destroy evil and user in a some golden age is to go against God's, the very thing secularists are damned for with their attempts at socialism.

Hell is God's Lake of Fire, where He will burn all the damned alive for all eternity. Including Satan. Who isn't cast into Hell until Judgment. Revelation 20-21.

Satan doesn't rule Hell.

Try reading the Bible to learn about Heaven and Hell, instead of watching South Park.

I am not anti christian,i just hate over religious pricks that aren't open to other religions. I am open to anything new,as long as people aren't retarded and think there is only one true religion.
