Re: My Chemical Romance - Emo False Christians!
my chemical romance SAVED my life. before i listened to them, i was borderline suicidal. if you bothered to actually listen to the songs instead of just hearing them, and read the lyrics for what they truly are, you would understand.
"i am not afraid to keep on living, i am not afraid to walk this world alone"
-famous last words
"stand up tall, never let them see your back. take my hand and never be afraid again."
-our lady of sorrows
more of the band talking about how they feel about emo culture
*SATANIC LINK DELETED*
when they first started, they toured with small christian bands in new jersey.
they are definitely not what you say they stand for. people like you are closed minded and blind. if you call yourself a real christian, how dare you judge someone by the way they look or the music they listen to?
there is a passage in the bible that i can't for the life of me remember, but it was of these two men going to pray and give money to the church, one was a just a man, and the other was a tax collector. the man scoffed at the tax collector because he didn't like what he did for a living.
it also said that jesus detested the men who acted better than others.
this isn't word for word, but i heard this the other day at church. this thread reminded me of it.
its sickening how you put yourselves above people like us. calling us emo suicide cults. that is literally the exact opposite of what we, and my chemical romance stand for.
its not a marketing strategy, its the truth.
my grandmother died of cancer in april of this year. the song "cancer" meant more to me than it ever did. of course it has undertones of death. death is apart of life. but why does that matter? this song is beautiful. it got me through the hardest point in my life i ever experienced.
if you were truly educated about this band, you'd know that the songs "dead" and "cancer" are apart of a concept album/rock opera that tells the story of a man who lost his life to cancer, and his battle with the disease.
oh yeah...that's definitely a suicidal topic.
[/sarcasm]
its clear that none of you actually know what you're talking about, but you like to make people think you do by making up points with no actual facts to support them. face it. no body knows my chemical romance better than a fan who has loved them for almost ten years.
